The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring all of Hobart. I shared a room with my mother and a friend stayed next door and the rooms were perfect for visiting each other. The staff were so lovely and helpful too. Worth noting they are serviced apartments so they don’t get made up each day and the reception has some limited hours, particularly on weekends - not an issue at all for me though.

big, but dated rooms in an old building. Kitchenette was fine. Portable cooktop available on request, but given there was no exhaust fan or openable windows, I wouldn’t recommend cooking. The apartment was mostly clean. Given no openable windows however it smelt like air deodoriser which I couldn’t even mask with strong scented candles. Staff were helpful and nice. They did however mess up my car parking resulting in me having to park on the street for 2 nights. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised at how near it was to popular locations like Salamanca Market, shopping areas, and even meet-up points for day tours. We walked out to the wharf for fish and chips and gelato, and then nearby pubs for beer almost every evening! Our apartment was spacious and comfortable, and had every amenity we needed for 5 nights. Improvements are needed, however, for certain fixtures such as our main door (had to push hard to open and close), and uneven flooring. But overall, still a highly recommended choice for a hotel/service apartment in Hobart.

Not satisfactory as other mantra properties

Receptionist called me to confirm payments but didn’t inform me that they have limited parkings and also didn’t book parking for me in advance. Soup wasn’t there in the room, I asked a lady at reception but she didn’t bother to give it in our room. I also asked that aircon is in hall and it’s really hot in room around midnight so if they can give me a table fan if available, she said that she will check but never bothered to inform me back, room phones were also not working. Overall a bad experience this time, nothing like other mantra properties where we stayed previously.

Dear 959sachinn, Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review of your stay at Mantra One. I'm sorry it did not live up to expectations, and wanted to address a couple of your concerns. Firstly, parking is unfortunately very limited and requires pre-booking with the property directly. While you may have spoken to someone regarding payment it was not reception at the hotel. We do advertise on our website the number that must be called or an email to use, to pre-book parking. We also call all guests the day before arrival to check any requests, I can see that we did call you but did not receive an answer. The phone outage we experienced was unfortunate but I'm glad that we were able to provide an alternative number for guests to contact us on if they had any issues or requests. I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the room fan and soap and will follow up with our team to ensure that all requests are being actioned promptly. As you can see from our other reviews, we are complimented regularly on our high service level, and I am sorry if we fell short on this occasion. Hotel situato in centro città a due passi da Salamanca. Stanze molto grandi meglio dire appartamenti dotati di ogni confort. Bagno spazioso con lavatrice, cucina con frigorifero, lavello, forno e stoviglie. Set per caffe e the e un soggiorno spaziosissimo. Molto utile per chi soggiorno parecchi giorni. Wi-fi a pagamento piuttosto costoso.
