Our experience was better than most other recent reviews. Great location. Good clean, spacious and quiet room. Efficient service. Yes, the decor is dated and the ground floor reception area is a bit of a wasteland. The breakfast service available is not very enticing, but good eateries are nearby. Parking is available onsite and a pool is on the premises. In short a good, but not great accommodation option, in a fabulous location.

Don't go here. No restaurant, no cleaning unless you stay more than 7 days so u have to wash your own towels & own dishes. Staff are not helpful, the place is tired & old

After 4 emails and still no response from the management team at Mantra Esplanarde Darwin as promised I am still waiting. I had booked a 3 bedroom apartment, 6 months in advance for our stay on the 5th and 6th August 2025, because the views were so spectactular as per the advertisement. We did not need a 3 bedroom apartment as there was just the 2 of us but i wanted to have a special room with spectactular views to surprise my husband for our 40th wedding anniversary celebration but what we got was not what was advertised. We got a room on the first floor with a view of the carpark. To say I was disappointed is an understatement as i had paid $1242 for 2 nights, way over my budget, but i wanted this to be special to celebrate our anniversary and I know my husband loves a great view. I immediately went down to the reception and voiced my disappointment, that this was not the room thet i booked, as per the advertisement, and i was told that the hotel was full and there were no other rooms available but she would pass on the message to the team leader and would recieve a phone call on the same day, That phone call never happened. Since then I have emailse on 4 occasions and have not recieved any response or offer of compensation. I am a loyal gold Accor member and use Mantra on most of our holidays. I feel bitterly disappointed in Mantra Esplanarde Darwin in the apparant lack of interest in resolving this matter for a loyal customer.

I have tried Email to make you aware of room but with no response so I write this review. I am writing to make you aware of the state of room 119 The Mantra Esplanade Darwin. We stayed one night the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. First. It smelt damp and musty. To the point that we left our room door open to the corridor when possible. Secondly. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was so filled with dirt, fluff, mould that it can hardly turn, resulting in very poor ventilation of the bathroom. It needs to be replaced. Thirdly. The air conditioner vent to the room was filthy with Black Mould so we didn’t use it. These things are deep clean issues and your cleaner would not have the time or expertise to do it. You need some serious maintenance done on this hotel regarding Smell, Mould and ventilation.

Very very tired, a/c is sub standard and noisy , bathroom v poor condition, pipe noises or a/C squeal kept us up at night. Stay away.
