Check in was good with Emily who was very helpful. The hotel itself is quite nice but with a few surprises. ROOM - Our room was pleasant, king bed at first quite hard but sort of got used to. To be honest the hotel photos on the website are better than seeing it in person which was a bit disappointing. We were surprised to be told there would be no housekeeping but since we were staying longer we were able to get one service during our stay so we booked it in at check in. On the day of housekeeping service we went to check and see what time it was getting done only to be told it wasn't booked in. We did book it in with Emily so we weren't not too happy about that but Alex sorted it out for us. No housekeeping meant we had to ask reception for additional supplies such as towels, tea, milk, toilet paper, remove rubbish ourselves, put towels outside room or in basket provided near reception etc. We found this weird and never stayed in a place where we had to ask for supplies at reception and get fresh towels ourselves, no daily housekeeping etc. Sort of felt like we were staying at a backpackers to be honest but it was still was pleasant. This hotel felt more like a motel style room even though the website made it look fancier. The aircon was good but the weird bathroom set up where the entrance to the shower, the door knob was in an awkward (wrong) position so if you are a very large person I would say it would be a struggle getting into the shower. You have to close the bathroom door to open the shower door and it doesn't swing out to give enough room to get in so have to squeeze yourself against the wall to be able to open the glass door. Our shower leaked too. Weird set up!! LAUNDRY - It was great having a laundry, $5 wash, $3 dry which we were surprised it wasn't complimentary. BREAKFAST - very average to say the least. Disappointing. Not a great spread and not that many choices like we have stayed at other similar hotels. 99% of the time the hot food was COLD. Yes cold as the dishes were sitting on a flat what looked like a hot plate that probably wasn't working. The scrambled eggs tasted weird (real eggs?), bacon hard and chewy and the rest of hot food eg. tomato based dishes, shrivelled up potatoes and dried up frittata didn't look appealing. The only time it was ok if you were at breakfast and grabbed the food when it came out fresh and hot from the kitchen. Food wasn't always replaced quick enough and I wouldn't get breakfast included again. I didn't like the scrambled eggs at all, so I asked for a freshly cooked egg and was told only could have fried so I got one, it came out COLD too. Later during our stay I noticed someone had an omelette cooked up! The coffee machine kept playing up and noticed people were waiting quite a while for someone to look at it. Very little service due to what looked the place didn't have enough staff in the especially in the restaurant area. TRANSPORT - I read from other reviews that the hotel offers free shuttle bus to town, that wasn't mentioned to us. We were told that we would have to get Uber taxi into town. We weren't told about the cheap buses, 50c into town or $1 for an all day pass per person which was great way to get into town. Best to hire a car. DINNER - We had dinner at the hotel once, a pizza which was quite good but for me it was too burnt on the bottom. Dinner prices are quite expensive so we went into town for more options. Overall the stay was pleasant enough, staff were friendly especially Emily and Alex but I would probably not stay again due to location, average quality breakfast and lack of housekeeping. The cost of our stay we feel should have included more.

Great quick stay at Airlie Beach. Stayed here before but i love the new look of the rooms. Gives you a boutique kind of vibe. Excited to see if the refurb will be extended to public areas hopefully soon. Enough open space car park. Amazing friendly staff aswell. Thanks for the great hospitality. Just 5 mins drive in the promenade but have restaurant onsite that serves bfeakfast, lunch and dinner!

This was a good hotel, made excellent by Emily behind reception. We stayed here on two seperate occasions as we completed a two day tour and they were good enough to store our luggage free of charge. The rooms were modern and spacious. Location wise, you are a 5 minute walk to a shopping centre which has a good size Coles, Bottle Shops, Bakery & Hairdressers. You are also close to a bus stop that allows you to ride all day return ticket for $1 Per person, which was excellent value. The reception team provide you with a bus service schedule on arrival. The gym on site is a good standard that doesn't have everything but certainly has enough. It has free weight dumbbells up to 20kg and was a clean facility. The only negatives were that they charge $100 as a holding fee on arrival and the bar shuts at 8pm which is quite early. We had an issue with our room on day 1 (we would suggest the hotel looks at high level cleaning such as light shades as lots of dust was collected in both of the rooms we stayed in - this is clearly just an oversight as the rest of the room was spotless) and Emily really looked after us thereafter, even as much as recommendations for our future travels.
