BreakFree Aanuka Beach Resort

It was confusing finding the carpark and room (directions not that clear). The actual room was too far from the amenities for my liking. The room had no rubbish bin and you would think for the price it would include a complimentary bottle of water. On the positive the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The location just seemed too isolated for me.

Unfortunately, I'm still waiting to hear back from the resort, i have sent serval email with no communication back. We had to depart a week early due to a death in my family and spoke with the girl at front desk and she told me no manager is on duty and to send an email in to see what could be done for compensation for the week remaining. if I could get a response from the resort that would be fantastic it has been over a month. regards, John Frize

We recently stayed at Aanuka Beach Resort for my cousin's 50th birthday. The facility itself was good. Some of the rooms were better than others. Overall a very good experience. Helpful friendly staff. The indoor heated pool was not working and we were not notified of this and a few of the older family members were disappointed as was my immediate family as it was a plus for us travelling with our disabled son.

We spent 3 nights at the resort and overall had a good experience, the kids loved it and that's what matters most. The main pool is great, it just needs some attention to the filtration system. At night we enjoyed walking around the park and try to spot wild animals, among others there are a few friendly possums going around. Our 2 bedroom spa apartment was reasonably clean and mostly in working order, although it could use some maintenance. Having said that, there are areas where Breakfree/ Accor should step up their game. I'm reading that other guests had poor experiences with their rooms, and the default reply from the resort manager is that the apartments are individually owned and they will relay the feedback to the respective owner. That shouldn't be the case, the managers should inspect the rooms and demand that the owners maintain them to a certain standard, or else lose the privilege of being part of the resort's booking system. Also the WiFi didn't work at all, the maintenance guy explained that they had a temporary issue in the server room and were waiting for assistance. However after reading past reviews it seems WiFi has never worked. So it was possibly just an excuse, but I'll give them the benefit of doubt.

Average experience not bad. WIFI in the room not very good. The hotel reception hard to find at first , indication on the road not clear, need set up a large indication board on the road. Free welcome bottle water should be left in the room.
