Great location but service needs some work. Room service is provided every 8 days. Won’t even pick up used towels that started piling in the bathroom. Restaurant had great tasty food but again, some issues with service and timeliness of delivery. In my room WiFi was not working and not available at all

Unfortunately, my stay at Aanuka Beach Resort was far from what I expected for a resort experience. For a resort this size you’d expect a place to store baggage after check-out, unfortunately they didn’t and they put the suitcase against the wall in the reception area. Room 117, a 10 minute walk from the main area and reception, we had to go through a gate which was on a bridge. The gate key would not work and we saw multiple guests have this same issue. Several amenities were either not functioning or in poor condition. The clock had a dead battery, and there was a strong unpleasant odor in the bathrooms. There was also no TV in the upstairs, no downstairs air conditioner, and the windows were very difficult to open and close. The built-in cupboard doors didn't close properly, and blinds were missing pieces. The carpet was filthy, with stains. Furniture looked like it was picked up from curb collection. On top of that, the facility had a significant power outage during dinner peak 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm, and when the power returned, there was an hour + wait for food, with a very limited menu. On a seperate night we ate at the restaurant with an hour wait on a Friday night. The experience felt disorganised, with entrees being served after the main meals. This isn’t the level of service I expect from a resort. The smoked wings were very average and the cheeseburger felt like it was an old burger, however the fish tacos and garlic and cheese pizza were amazing and fresh. Went to order an ice chocolate and iced latte and was told they have no ice cream or cream so it’s just the mix and crushed ice this was mid Saturday morning. Additionally, we had a moth issue in and outside the room and when we requested bug spray by reception, we were told “we are a bit short staffed and they'd look into it”—but never heard back. Terrible reception everywhere although that’s no fault of theirs. Had to ask for the wifi password and then if worked reasonably well. Despite these issues, I will say the lounge area and pool were fantastic, we attended a wedding at the resort and the wedding facilities were exceptional. The main pool was closed for renovations. The breakfast, priced at $39, offered great options, including hasbrowns, mushroom, cereal, toast, musli, fresh juice etc. Overall, this resort is in desperate need of updates to the rooms and better management. For the price, I’ve stayed at caravan parks with better facilities. Customer service was subpar, and the rooms fell far short of expectations. There seems to be a significant effort put into maintaining the beach house, but the rest of the resort just doesn’t measure up.

Beautiful accomodation. Room was very spacious and have everything we needed. Lots of activities for the kids. Restaurant attached was beautiful. We loved the beach access. All areas were very clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Both pools were closed as well as the restaurant was closed. Not informed when making booking. As this was a few days to relax and had planned to spend time in the sun by the pool. Breakfast was only ok. Nothing special!

Had a great weekend in one of the spa bures, room was clean and comfortable but feeling a little dated, glass roof in the batroom needs a shade above it though as the bathroom was quite hot in the middle of the day. The new Aanuka Beach House is absolutely fantastic! Good selection of drinks and the food was phenomenal! The only complaints would be the lack of onsite parking due to the ongoing renovations, however I was aware before hand that this could be an issue and also we were a bit dissapointed that the main pool was closed which wasn't listed on the booking or website.
