Stay clear to avoid disappointment this is certainly not commensurate with the star rating that it claims to hold. Stuff are friendly enough and eager to please put their working with substanders facilities and equipments. The buildings location is also a fair distance away from the main attractions within the city. The rooftop pool bar is extremely unclean with cigarettes and litter left in surrounding areas for 2 to 3 days. The maintenance of the whole building is also very poor and in need of an input of cash and care. Ultimately we were pleased to leave leave this accommodation.

Pathetic experience at Hotel Canvas

Clogged Wash Basins – The sinks in rooms 310 and 311 were blocked. Despite repeated reminders, it took over 2 hours to resolve this issue. Delayed Tea Cups – Fresh tea cups were not replaced after room cleaning. Additionally, when requested from reception, it took 20-25 minutes for them to be delivered to the room. Missing Towels – Bath towels and hand towels were missing after room cleaning. When contacted, bath towels were eventually delivered, but the hand towels were unavailable, with the excuse that “we ran out of hand towels” and would only provide them after the next room cleaning, which could take 4-5 hours. Poor Quality Crockery – When requested for plates and bowls, thermocol disposable plates and spoons were sent, which is unacceptable for any standard hotel. Substandard Breakfast – The breakfast buffet offered limited options and was subpar. Additionally, food ordered from the live counter took a minimum of 30 minutes to be served. Old and Damaged Furniture – The room furniture, such as sofas, was old, scratched, and gave the appearance of neglected infrastructure.

I went there with my friend the atmosphere was really nice,i ordered mushroom, momos, broccoli prawns tempora all the food was excellent again shisha was great. I stayed in Dubai from Friday, March 28th to Saturday at the Canvas Hotel Gallery. I accidentally met this Lebanese woman through Tinder, she claimed she was 30-31 years old. On the way out, she said she was staying there on vacation from Beirut. I stayed until 9 PM Saturday to meet her. She told me she is staying at the hotel as well. We met at 9 PM Saturday. She suggested going to the basement of the hotel where they have two restaurants: an Indian one and a Russian-Arabic restaurant (555 EVENT MANAGEMENT is the name, at least to my bill and credit card). Please pay attention to the scam that blew my mind. It’s easy to see how someone could get caught off guard, I did then pay for it dearly by predactors. I lived in NY, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Nothing like that happened to me ever. We chose the Russian-Arabic place, a gloomy and cheesy place like a communist Mafia nouveau riche place. She started to order the biggest Mezze and mixed fruits, but she did not even eat 1/10 of it. She ordered A Shisha (350 AED), a flower (400 AED), a pack of cigarettes, and three glasses of Baluga vodka. I had never heard of this type of vodka. At the end, she ordered a bottle of Baluga Vodka (4,000 AED) crazy. I do not drink Vodka. I ordered three glasses of Shiraz wine, they disgusting (300 AED). The bill came to 7,000+ AED. To cut the story short. The slick Syrian Manager made me pay 6,500 AED. He thought he was so clever. It seems like the whole thing was a setup from the start—this woman I met on Tinder, claiming to stay at the hotel and suggesting that you meet up and go to a specific restaurant, which then turned into a highly inflated bill for food and drinks. It's a classic scam tactic, where they prey on my trust and sense of normalcy and then hit you with an outrageous bill for services you didn’t fully consent to or expect. It's my fault. The name "555 Event Management" that appears on your bill seems to be key here. It’s important to realize that this might not be a legitimate business but rather a front for a scam operation. The fact that the manager pretended not to know the woman you were with only makes it worse. This type of coordinated dishonesty is part of the scam. I have all the proof of payment and any correspondence with the woman or the hotel, this could help in disputing the charges. While it may be difficult to get a refund from the restaurant or the hotel directly, I reported it to Dubai Tourism, the Dubai Police, and I tipped off the US embassy, which my embassy to help prevent others from falling into the same trap. In addition to reporting it, I am trying to dispute the charges with your credit card company. Since the bottle of vodka was already opened, it's a bit tricky, but they may still be able to help you recover some or all of the money if they determine it was a fraudulent transaction. I was trusting and just trying to have a pleasant evening, but it’s clear that they had everything rigged from the beginning. Sometimes, scammers are good at making everything seem legitimate until it's too late. You've already done the right thing by sharing this experience with others so that they can avoid it. Karma will pay them back as well. I know it for sure. They are miserable people who prey on others to try to enrich themselves with greed. Remember the name "555 Event Management" basement of the Canvas Hotel (Kuwait Street)

Warning. Absolute rip-off. Never again in this hotel. I visited the hotel bar with friends. Apart from the fact that there was absolutely nothing going on (Ramadan) ok. I can still cope. But for a 2 hour stay we received an exorbitant bill of approx. 1,300 US$ (4.860 AED). In total for: 8 glasses Whiskey Red Bull 2 small beers 1 Coke Zero 1 tequila 1 packet of cigarettes 1 water pipe A few nuts Avoid this hotel, especially as it looks more like a building site than a 5 star hotel. Absolute rip-off. Comment. I didn't spend the night there, but was only in the hotel bar.
