Although the staff were very pleasant, I am sorry to say this hotel is not a 5 star hotel. Not even close. 2 star at best . Aimed at an Indian clientele, so most of the food in the hotel and surrounding area was Indian. The entrance to the hotel is weird, you have to go down into the car park to enter. The rooms, like the rest of the hotel are dated, no hairdryer, our view was directly the back of another hotel. The roof top pool view mostly looked at the docks area. The city is far away and in the evenings what we hoped would be a relaxing place to sit turned into a party bar. I would not recommend this hotel.

The room is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The best part of the hotel is the staff who is incredibly polite, friendly, obliging and professional. They make you feel like you’re home away from home. Polash at the Concierge and Peter the security make you feel welcomed and provide great help always. Sonu from F&B and his team - Komal, Lamyaa, Yahya, Ananta and Kusum - are always attentive to our needs and always willing to go out of their way to meet our needs. We were pleasantly surprised by the Bon Voyage cake served to us before we left Dubai. We had no issues with the housekeeping like some guests have mentioned, as the guys were incredibly helpful to quickly provide us what we required, unlike some hotels that make you wait. Overall, our stay in Dubai has been made very sweet by all the unsung heroes at Canvas Hotel who made us feel comforted, welcomed and safe. ❤️

The rooms are well-appointed, but there are notable shortcomings for a hotel claiming to be 5-star. Breakfast: The breakfast heavily focuses on Indian cuisine, which may not cater to all preferences. Additionally, the breakfast lounge is compact, making navigation through the space challenging. Service: Initially, the service was disappointing, with excessive waiting times and subpar food standards. After lodging a complaint, the service significantly improved. However, it was evident that other guests were having similar frustrations and needed to complain to receive proper attention. This was disappointing to see. Noise: Staying in a room on the poolside of the hotel came with significant noise issues. At weekends, the terrace bar played loud club music until 2 am, which was audible even five floors down, disrupting my desire to sleep. In summary, while the hotel offers nice rooms, the service inconsistencies, breakfast limitations, and noise disturbances detract from the overall experience.

The hotel is geared towards Indian nationality guests. Breakfast and dinner based on vegetarian Indian cuisine, very poor food selection. You won’t find any sea food option, or fish, poor meat selection, also we had only two options of cheese. Fresh salads mixed up with Indian spices. Very disappointed and after couple days we refused to eat in the hotel. Always jammed packed- we had to wait for 10mins to be seated. The hotel definitely not 5* it’s more likely 3. Shower cabin and toilet was covered in mould also tiles had stains. After having a shower water was from shower cabin was leaking to the toilet cabin - after we reported no actions was taken. Room service - after cleaning room forgot to provide towels - so had to chase them up. No iron in the room or hair dryer - also Had to ask. INDIAN dance Music on top roof was blasting away till 4am. - 2 nights in the row was sleepless. The best part was - car parking service - at least boys were able to park car and they did good job all 5 days we stayed there. I definitely WONT recommend this place to my friends or family. It’s overpriced place and it’s not worth paying that much money for awful service.
