Review Mercure Rayong Lomtalay Villas & Resort 🌊🌴 ห้องพักฝั่ง garden wing ดีมากกก โปร่งโล่ง ลมพัดตึง ลอนผมกระเบิ่ง ห้องพักฝั่ง ocean view กว้างมาก ระเบียงก็กว้าง ใหม่ สะอาดมากๆเลยค่ะ ห้องน้ำก็กว้างกว่าทุกที่เท่าที่เคยพักมา อาหารเช้า หลากหลาย อาหารรสชาติดี ชอบมากคือ มีหมูชะมวงด้วย ปลื้มมม สระว่ายน้ำก็กว้างมาก ถ่ายรูปสวย พี่รปภ.อธิบายดีเพราะเราไปวนเข้า ocean wing ก่อน ก็อธิบายบอกทาง พนง.check-in คุณเดียร์พูดดีมาก ทั้งๆที่เคสเรามีปัญหา เพราะ reservation คุณ poon ทำ booking ผิด ผิดทั้ง type ห้อง ผิดทั้งราคาห้อง ไม่ว่าจะจอง 3 คน/ห้อง 2คน/ห้อง หรือ type ต่างกันก็ราคาเดียวกัน ซึ่งแพงกว่าราคาปกติทั่วไป ไปรบกวนทาง Lobby 2-3 รอบ เพราะแจ้งว่ามีกรุ๊ปลง ขอเคลียกรุ๊ปก่อน และยืนยันว่าทำไรไม่ได้ เพราะทาง reservation ทำมาแบบนี้ วุ่นวายไปหมด check-in 4 โมง เสียเวลาเคลียเคสไป 2 ชม. กว่าจะจบ ขอบคุณคุณเดียร์และขอโทษพี่พนง.ทุกคนที่ทำให้วุ่นวาย แต่มันก็ไม่ควรจะเกิดเรื่องแบบนี้ขึ้น ที่เหลือในการบริการดีหมดทุกอย่าง ห้องอาหาร คุณอุ้มบริการดีมาก รวมถึงพี่ที่บาร์จำตอนกลางคืนชื่อจำไม่ได้ แต่พี่เขาพูดขอบคุณค่ะ ทุกคำเลย น่ารักมาก มีโอกาสได้เจอเชฟใหญ่ คุณเชฟเชษด้วย เลยชื่นชมเรื่องอาหาร breakfast ไปว่าอร่อยมากกก เดินตัดวนอยู่หลายรอบ chocolate ที่ทำขายก็อร่อยมาก เสียดายที่ไม่ได้เล่นน้ำเพราะเสียเวลาตอนเช็คอินไปเยอะ ตอน check-out พนง.น่ารักทุกคน platinum ไม่มี welcomeให้ วางไว้ให้ในห้องที่ booking ผิด พอเคลียเคสจบได้ห้องตามที่จองมา ไม่มีมาวางไว้เหมือนห้องแรก ก่อนกลับมีไปแลก welcome drink กับคุณอุ้ม ซื้อ chocolate กลับบ้านเพิ่มอีกด้วย หวังว่ารอบหน้า rooptop เปิด จองห้องพักไปจะไม่มีปัญหาเรื่อง booking อีกนะคะ 🥹🥲🙏🏻

Location is great. New facilities. Nice, friendly and helpfull staff. Room was huge, with a big balcony , but a chair would be a good thing to have. Nice bed and mattress. Bathroom was nice, but we missed where to hang our towels, after bath, same for the swim wear, after swim. And we did not like the lavatory outside the bathroom and inside the room.. Water pressure also changed too much. Swimming pool was pleasant, with good and new longues and sunshades. Breakfast (on the older location...a small inconvenient) was good enough.

A Mercure that flatters to deceive

The Mercure Rayong flatters to deceive. Everything looks nice enough until you start to discover that nothing is really that good (apart from the lovely beach). The staff do try hard to please though. First, the area on which the hotel is located is simply not large for the number of guests staying there. For example, there is not enough parking and not enough places to sit around the smallish pool. The pool is a strange shape: it looks lovely and is probably great for children splashing around and playing, but definitely is not for doing laps or any proper swimming. The fitness room is very pleasant, but only has one treadmill, one exercise bike and some free weights so, again, is insufficient for the needs of the guests. The villa room itself looks nice on entry and is adequate though feels a bit like being in prison given there is no view. The bed was comfy and the shower worked well. However, having stones around the bath is not a great idea for the elderly or anyone with impaired vision. As for the buffet breakfast, it looked terrific on first view but actually lacked quality. I was also served one of the worst omelettes I have ever had at a hotel - quite an achievement! We tried room service which was also adequate but certainly not particularly good or memorable. I too was not aware that this is a pet-friendly hotel when I booked. My error, but like other reviewers, we do not enjoy animals peeing and worse nearby where we are trying to relax. All in all, not a hotel I would recommend or stay at again.

Room wasn’t ready for check-in even after 3pm. We got a room on 2nd floor which has a plunge pool, although the pool water was very cloudy like it’s never been properly clean. The plunge pool was located at the balcony below a nearby condominium so we had zero privacy. The window frame isn’t connected to the wall leaving an inch gap between the balcony and bedroom, therefore noises, mosquitoes, gecko can go through this gap. Service is slow. Being a pet-friendly hotel makes public place dirty. In one morning, a dog pooped around the swimming pool where everyone walked barefoot. Another dinner time, another dog peed on the sofa. Dogs are cute, but they are not hygienic. We see stains everywhere. I have to really avoid pets hotel from now on. I like the little island in front of the hotel though. And the beach is relatively clean.

Relaxing stay at stylish beach front hotel

We stayed here for one night in mid May 2024. The Mercure is a stylish and well-maintained hotel with plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. The large pool area overlooks a long expanse of clean beach. Pool sun loungers were large and exceptionally comfortable. Our room (4101) was spacious and had a small terrace and a garden view. The breakfast buffet was of a good quality with plenty of options (though more vegetarian cooked options would have been nice). Staff were very helpful and extremely courteous. Special mention to Meow and Aume who helped us arrange onward transportation - you both were great! Would definitely stay again if we return to the area. Cath and Dafydd Jones
