Close to Rail Station

I arrived late and left early (this hotel is about 5 mins walk from the Railway Station) but was very satisfied with my stay here. The hotel is clearly pretty new and was unusually decorated with a cycling theme which made it a bit interesting - I am tempted to return to the area with my bike in the future now! The staff I dealt with on reception were pleasant and I would describe the room as very clean and comfortable. The one minor annoyance was that there is no glass in the bathroom or even any kind of cup in the room but by the time I had undressed and realised this I was too tired to get dressed to go downstairs and ask for one (as invited by the notice in the room) so made do with an empty drink bottle I happened to have with me. Slept well in the room though, would stay here again.

Stayed one night . very clean and nice hotel with a good location. Staff charmingly old style East Europe. not so smiling, but i loved the style. very helpful. great stay. location is goos close to good restaurants. lots of people actually smoke here which is quite new to us.

As our booked standard twin bed room category was booked out, we were upgraded to a family room (kind of a junior suite), although with a queen bed and the infamous connecting door I asked to avoid when making the reservation. But the very nice room made up for that and no sound could be heard from the (vacant?) adjacent room. The hotel has a quirky "bike" theme as Magdeburg is a prominent stop on the "Elbe-Radweg" (bike trail along the river Elbe). We slept perfectly, bedding was good, the bathroom with shower was spacious and comfortable and there was a separate toilet. The breakfast buffet was high quality and keeping in mind, that ibis styles is a budget chain, more than sufficient. The Accor All silver status was honored with a free drinks voucher in the well visited bar. We were very happy with our stay!

Cheap on budget no frills but warm and excellent customer Service

We arrived at the hotel due to our car breaking down in Magdeburg to stay for the night. We wasn't expecting 3* or 4* service if so then pay more if you want more Mounir Hotel Supervisor was outstanding in his customer care and very helpful in every way. I was in many budget hotels however Mounir has been great to make our stay relaxed and comfortable. Thank you

We arrived late at night, booked via booking and the reception simply said that that she does not have a room for us, she did not even say hello when we walked in. She spoke very little English, was rude and absolutely not helpful, I had to call booking to have the issue sorted. We have stayed at Ibis hotels several times with the family and were always happy until this stay. I have also worked with Ibis several times when organising large conferences and found the staff professional. It is worth investing in staff and training them as the receptionist who was so rude to us has really turned my head towards other hotels when I plan family trips as well as large company events, conferences.
