We came really wanting to love this property and the grandeur, immense size and location certainly has that wow factor and there is no denying that. But the total lack of English and disorganisation certainly let this supposedly 5 star hotel down over our 4 night stay. The opulent rooms were nice on entry but highly impractical. Breakfasts were disappointing with poorly trained staff, bread and baked products which are usually a highlight in Vietnam Hotels of this standard were stale and dry every day. On the other hand we dined twice while here and the staff provided great service and food was of good quality. Drinks and canapes served in the Thien Quan lounge again inconsistent over the 4 days we were there. On the upside of all this was probably one of the best swimming pools l have swum in. Our concierge Ivy tried her hardest to look after us and it was much appreciated. If you are a lover of 13th century Asian architecture, mountain walks and peace and serenity this is the place for you but don't expect a 5 star hotel experience. This has been a hard review to write as we loved the immensity of the hotel and its location but let down by the service of a hotel of this standard.

Nov 2023: A beautiful hotel with excellent service. It's a relaxed, sprawling property which gave it the feel of a resort. Wonderful design and decoration touches everywhere, from reception to the rooms to the gorgeous pool, restaurant, bar and gardens. Perfectly located if you want to go to the top of Yen Tu Mountain - we walked up and back from the hotel - or the nearby monastery. A great place to relax with great scenery and being surrounded by nature. The food at the restaurant was excellent and my partner and I appreciated their ability to offer delicious vegan dishes. Thank you to Phuong for looking after us. Special mention goes to the spa which is really next-level and special mention to Huong the receptionist there who made us feel so welcome and looked after us so well on repeated visits. We really enjoyed the treatments by Thu, Binh, Thao and Nha. The only (and I mean only) downside was the free bikes available to use - most were in really poor and potentially unsafe condition. It was also sad to see the horses tied up in the sun at the adjacent 'village' field waiting all day to be ridden by tourists but I acknowledge this is not part of the hotel itself. Nov 2025: happy to return for 5 nights after such a great first impression two years ago. The place lived up to my very high expectations and in fact was even better as the menu at the restaurant has expanded its offerings of vegan dishes. The staff are still excellent with special callouts to Huong/Mira at the spa (she remembered me from my first visit!), Duyen/Dory at the restaurant, Dat at the bar and Aiden the duty manager. Their level of service made the stay extra special.

Hotel was excellent. Special mention to Dat on the bar upstairs, he really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Overall the location and facilities are excellent - so well designed and put together and really tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Exactly what we needed.

I had a great stay at Legacy Yên Tử and want to thank the whole team for making my trip so relaxing. Everyone I met was friendly, helpful, and really cared about us. A special thank-you to Mr. Silas, the Front Office Manager. He was very kind and professional, and he helped me with everything I needed. He made check-in easy, gave good suggestions, and always made sure we felt comfortable. You can really see that he leads his team well. I would say the entire check-in team was great! The rest of the staff from housekeeping to the restaurant were also amazing. They made the place feel warm and welcoming. Thank you, Legacy Yên Tử, for a wonderful experience. I’d love to come back again and highly recommend this place to others. My second time came back was much better than my first time last year!
