A Disappointing Stay

I was a bit disappointed with my stay at Angsana Bintan. Here are the reasons why. Our initial encounter with the front desk was a bit lacking. They didn’t tell us about the layout, give us a map, or explain the large deposit amount. I was bit a shocked when I received a large sum alert from my credit card provider when I connected to wifi. The twenty one percent service charge plus tax was also surprising. It is tacked on after services are rendered, so it is quite a sticker shock. My mother in law had difficulties booking a cab due to not speaking English well. The lack of consideration and equitable treatment left a bitter taste in my mouth. There were a lot of issues with water, specifically water leaking from both our showers so we had a mountain of towels to prevent water from leaking further, the sauna water being a weird color and having a lot of bugs, and more. Also, the hotel in general wasn’t all too clean, with a lot of items littered across the vicinity. I would not recommend Angsana Bintan, nor will I revisit the location.

Great experience with kids.

We stayed at a family suit. The kids initially weren't sure about the kids club on the first day we sent them. They grew to love the lovely staff: Marian and Frachesia. They are so patient and welcoming. Everyday, there are different activities: paid and free. Strongly recommend this place to families with younger kids.

The hotel had excellent hospitality. Always had best smile and helped us well. In the bath, hot water became cold in a bit short time. The food was great. I loved the morning buffet. In the evening, we went to the restaurant in the other hotel ( the cove) and their Italian dishes were delicious. Thank you so much!

Seamless and welcoming experience

The whole experience was so great, it was my first solo trip bringing my 5yo so I was a little nervous, but the staff just allayed our fears & made it so easy! From the bus taken from the ferry terminal, to the checkin, the kids club etc etc, every part along the way made it an experience, till my child wants to come back yearly! Special thanks to Miss El at the reception who catered to our every need, remembered my name & was all-round friendly, as well as Miss Fransiska from the kids’ club who played with my child so well! Also Mr Nana who drove us to the Bintan Mangrove tour. It was the best holiday my child had!

Lovely Kids Club!

Francisca and Maria from the Kids Club are the best! They took great care of my kids and had so many activities for them. From many different crafts, to decorating cookies! They even remembered all the kids names and it made my children felt very special :) we will miss you Francisca and Maria! Thank you for everything!
