Wonderful relaxing resort with everything the Maldives has to offer

Just enjoyed 11 nights at this wonderful resort. We have visited the Maldives several times but this was by far the best resort we’ve experienced so far. We had an In-ocean Villa sunset side. The villas are huge and very well appointed with more than enough facilities and direct access to the lagoon which is a short snorkel/swim from the reef. The house reef is spectacular. Beautiful corals, fish and one day we even saw dolphins. Food at the Azzuro Restaurant just great with a choice from the menu. We also visited the buffet restaurant on the island for some variety and enjoyed dining on the beach. We visited the Funa restaurant twice which was just wonderful - great food and tables by the water. The highlight of the resort is the quality of service which is nothing short of impeccable. From our room cleaner Ashid to our waiter Niu and all the restaurant staff, everyone went out of their way to ensure we had everything we could want. Also a highlight, the marine biology lab at the dive centre managed by Adlan who involved us in a lecture and coral planting. There were only two draw backs to this resort which we would highlight: 1. We had mistakenly thought from the description that the in-ocean villas would be adult only. This was very much NOT the case. There were numerous families with young children who were sometimes badly behaved and spoiled the relaxing atmosphere. This is simply not an appropriate environment for kids - there is not only nothing for them to do but also the villa design and the main areas where there are no guard rails are dangerous and children could easily fall off. 2. The villa that we were initially allocated was very close to the services building for the villa complex. This has chimneys for a generator that belch out black smoke 24/7 that then blows across the villas. It was awful. To be fair we complained and were moved but surely something can be done to deal with this problem perhaps by adding scrubbers to the chimneys or making them taller so that they don’t affect guests. All in all a great place and we would definitely visit again.

Great diving on a relaxed island villa with personal infinity pool

This beautiful island has villas on the island itself and separately across the water a short boat ride to the villas. We stayed on the island with a personal Infinity pool. The highlight of our day was undoubtedly the Diving led by Ahmed who took us on nine of our 11 dives. An ultimate dive on the reef tongue extend of the House reef was superb from the big stuff to the small stuff eagle raise in a flat white tip sharks and huge stingrays but also some cleaning shrimps on moray eels. The whole vibe of the Diving was different because it was led by Maldivian divers rather than Europeans. They really know their stuff and the currents and extends a feeling of confidence and safety. On the island, the service is impeccable and the staff ensure that they know your personal preferences. Being creatures of habit, this is lovely. There is a very light touch to the evening entertainment if it's for you with some currently wonderful Cuban musicians. All in all this was a very laid-back stay. If you're choosing an island villa, I recommend you go on the northern side so that you get the benefits of the sun all day and a breeze.

Location is amazing. Beach villa and in ocean villas are beautiful with serene view. Kaani restuarant for vegetarians is good. Hotel Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Staff was friendly specially Leila who took care of us during our stay.

Where do I start. Wow wow wow, this place was absolutely amazing. From landing in Male, the getting back to Male the hotel crew was amazing. Meeting you at the airport, escorting through the terminal taking you right to the seaplane was spot on. Then the island well what can I say!! its totally amazing, Its clean, the staff cant do enough for you, nothing is a problem. Shammu in the water villas restaurant is out of this world, what a kind, friendly and generally super guy. He excelled himself on our last night by allocating our table for dinner and decorating it. Its the small details that go along way. Not sure of his name but we call him deliveroo guy as going around villas ensuring everything is right on his bike. Absolutely great idea, one person facilitating everyone can gets what they need. Thank you for delivering our buckets of ice :) We stayed over the deluxe overwater villas and I must say absolutely stunning. The room was spotless. Even being connected by decking walkways it was so tranquil, never hear anyone. The atmosphere and vibe over there was next level. Everyone is so friendly. Staff were amazing right down to the maintenance crew. Over on the island was also amazing, pure white sands, amazing food, beautiful pool. Jan (I think that's how you spell his name) the assistant F&B manager was so friendly and accommodating. Actually doesn't hide away, takes time to take to you, seems to know everyone and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you. Now for the negatives: (Don't panic) The ferry connecting the island I feel needs to run every 30 mins not every hour or on demand. Simple things like I wanted a pair of flippers from the island, but would mean waiting for the ferry, pop to water sports collect them which would take 5 mins and then have to wait another hour for ferry back. Ferry is literally a 2 minute crossing. Jan, you are amazing, but maybe pop over to the villas sometimes. That's it, you are so good why not spread the love. On the island the layout of the buffet was a bit weird, salad station, the desserts then mains. Also wasn't a huge choice but what was there was excellent. The staff at the main restaurant on the island could be a bit more attentive. I think it was the main guy he was excellent but the others not so great, but that could be we didn't go that often so didn't get a repour going with them. And finally this could be me being really picky but the sofas in the bar area at the over water villas are not great for sitting and chilling. That's me complaining !!!! But trust me you will not be disappointed, its an amazing place. I hope to be back just need to save up as isn't cheap. But quality has its price. Highly recommended
