Fabulous hotel in idyllic location, right on the marina. This is definitely a place to go for a chilled out break. The rooms are lovely with comfy king sized bed. There is a safety deposit box, mini bar which is replenished daily (consisting of a couple bottles of beer, soft drinks, water, crisps and a chocolate wafer biscuit). There is also a coffee machine in room with 4 pods supplied daily. The staff are amazing, they really make your holiday. The food is plentiful and good quality as well as the drinks. We went to secret beach every day for lunch at Azur Restaurant, which has lovely views. We don't sunbathe but there were plenty of beds and bar staff frequently asking if you would like a drink. There is a nice walk into Gocek (probably a mile), the path was being laid whilst we were there so you have to do a detour and underfoot was a bit uneven so if you have mobility issues you might want to find another route, however, judging by the progress made whilst we were there I'm sure this will be completed within another week. I would recommend the boat trip but I'd suggest you reserve your spot early on as it gets booked up quickly. You book through WhatsApp (reception staff are brilliant at getting back to you). You can eat dinner at the People's Restaurant twice a week but again book early. The entertainment on a night was okay, some nights better than others. There was one night when the 80% of the songs sung were in Turkish, which isn't a problem if you recognise the tunes! This didn't spoil the holiday though because we met so many nice people. We will definitely be booking to go back next year.

I am going to leave a honest review on this place , as we wasted a lot of money coming here and although I appreciate everyone has different opinions/ expectations the basics are the same! It definitely 100 percent is not a 5 star place and I struggle to find anything that even resembles a 5 star listing?! I can’t call it a hotel as it is not a hotel just blocks of rooms dotted throughout the grounds, we have been to many Rixos hotels and this is the worst one ever! We had high expectations but now having been realise photos and descriptions are done very well hiding its truth. So can I honestly say I left with one wonderful experience NO! Here I go so arrive met with the smallest reception not what I expected no welcome just fill in forms and scan QR code join wats app group (not helpful at all as they do not no how to respond to your questions ), rooms are very very old and dated and stink of old musty mouldy wood smell, we were there when they had a lot of rain for days , the location I would say hinders the weather you are at the bottom surrounded by mountains my friend was in turkey same time and had no rain at all, main restaurant is like a canteen same food everyday some many reviews say staff are amazing I cannot agree breakfast and evening meals constantly had to ask staff for drinks as they just concentrate on clearing and cleaning tables, we were super excited for Starbucks as we are coffee drinkers so disappointed to find it is just a press button coffee machine , ferry boat first day is a novelty after that annoying waiting for it, secret beach read awesome again excited for this, it is a horrible small man made beach sand is like coarse builders sand entering the sea is painful due to all the rocks about three foot in, I watched multiple people struggling, falling to get out, sea looked dirty I think this is due to a very busy harbour is in constant use by the beach , Azur restaurant is okay, nice views , and my husband said his best meal / food he had eaten all holiday was the kebabs on the beach .. most add ons like the gym is a summer room building plonked on the grounds, there is nothing to do here at all. I hope this helps someone because honestly we left so disappointed, I wouldn’t want anyone else to put this place on your bucket list and go and wish you hadn’t. Day of departure guest relations lady said ‘ you leaving’ I said ‘ yes thank goodness it is poop here’ she smiled and walked off.

This was our third visit to Gocek but first to the Rixos. Great location and lovely beach, the free 1/2 day boat trip was a nice touch. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Having read earlier reviews we did on occasion have to wait for drinks 15 mins+ or go to the bar our selves as waiting staff kept missing us. But this seemed to be due to early season ramping up issues and not a major issue for us. We had an upstairs room which was clean and spacious, though the small outside area was enough to dry some clothes only, but not an issue for us During our stay we did book a cabana and taxis but face 2 face rather than WhatsApp. We did use WhatsApp to clarify times and report an issue with the safe, all attended to in a timely fashion. QR codes for menus on day one when your tired and are not yet on the WiFi was frustrating but by the end of our stay my parents were fully trained in use of QR codes. Firstly to clarify we were there the first week in May and the hotel was still clearly gearing up for the main season ahead. Our biggest issue which we did raise with management was the main restaurant turquoise. We have stayed in other similar all inclusive hotels with buffet style service in the main restaurant and not had issues with cold or Luke warm food. That said it did improve a little towards the end of our stay as more managers started to appear and were over seeing things. All the other restaurants which you could use at lunch time only for free were excellent in all areas. You could use these restaurants in the evening for a cover charge in the evening. Other hotels often let you use these once or twice for free during your stay. Would we go again, probably but plan on eating away from the main restaurant.

A dream vacation at Rixos Premium Göcek! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the entire resort is peaceful, clean, and perfectly integrated into nature. The sea is stunning – crystal clear and relaxing. The staff is very friendly, respectful, and always helpful. Especially Boat Transfer Boy Ekrem, from Operation Ibrahim, Guest Relations Ates, Seyma, Medine thanks all the Rixos göcek Team. Excellent service in every area – from the beach to the restaurant. Highly recommended for anyone looking for luxury and tranquility in a breathtaking setting.

This review I have chosen to wait until I had gotten over my disappointment so that I could give a clearer account Positives: Secret beach Azur restaurant mostly good People’s restaurant Boat trip Negatives Having to do everything by watsapp is in our opinion and many guests we interacted with said same it was not good interaction with a person is by far much nicer The welcome can only be described as poorest we have received we were literally told in a very rushed manner scan that it was a qr code .. it was so rushed and she kept going back to her desk I actually said to our friends is it me or is this being done at a million miles an hour like we are an inconvenience….i then asked as signage was poor where do we go from here she pointed at a pathway an said follow that and that was our first impression/welcome to a so called Premium hotel oh and our friends were given some other guests passports back after checking in …good job they checked !!!! We waited 20 minutes for drinks in the bar had to ask a manager in end and only when my husband tipped heavily did we receive any kind of service The main buffet restaurant Torquoise can only be compared to a local cafe …soul less no atmosphere no ambience and what few staff they had were rushed off feet we literally went once for dinner never again and once for breakfast . The restaurant at secret beach was very nice good food great staff but unfortunately when we had lunch one day my husband didn’t get his as they forgot his order we had waited a considerable amount of time and asked twice to be told 2 minutes it arrived 15 minutes later by which time he had left and gone to snack bar We did speak with guest relations and felt he was listening and taking on board our issues I asked for a cocktail from pool bar but they didn’t have one ingredient so couldn’t make it this happened 2 days in a row so I texted guest relations asked if possible could you ensure the ingredients were available and next day I asked for the cocktail to be told no so I asked them to check and lo an behold it was available (why have to wait for a guest to do this !!) The final straw was the check out we requested a late check out from our room and was told could keep till 5pm at 12.20 I got a text saying you need check out I replied saying manager confirmed 17.00hrs this wasn’t accepted so I had to come back from beach and physically go to reception as we by this time had been locked out of our room the guest relations person challenged the fact we were allowed check out 17.00hrs more or less said no agreement noted I said well ask the manager who told us after some time she did this an was not happy as it was confirmed as agreed no apology so we literally lost 1/1,5 hrs of our last day due to lack of communication on staff side I was so disappointed in this hotel it had been on my bucket list for a long time but I think now in the Fethiye region the all inclusive hotels far surpass the Rixos and we believe the Rixos was many years ago a good hotel but definitely not in same league the newer 5* hotels in the region
