Great relaxing week away, for some winter sun!

I'm writing this review with only 6 days until we go again, we enjoyed our first time in Early November (the weather had been so good they had stayed open a couple of extra weeks I think, luckily for us) so much that as soon as we could get time away, outside of the school holidays, we got booked again! We (myself & my husband) loved our stay, the staff were all so friendly & lovely. From the moment we arrived we knew we'd have a good time. I personally enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of it being out of season/end of season. We'd decided to grab a last minute holiday, think we booked a week before, as I was recovering from major hip surgery & had been allowed to travel again, we wanted a little luxury, but chilled atmosphere (with good food)! I extensively looked through the reviews as I hate to book in places & be disappointed. We definitely weren't disappointed. First of all our room was so lovely, right at the end of the corridor overlooking the pool and if I stretched enough I could see the sea haha. Loved the décor, neutrals, Bali kind of vibes. small bathroom but just what we needed. The bed was so comfy & having the choice of pillows (you have a pillow menu) was great as I'm really fussy with pillows, but the ones already there were perfect. A lovely big mirror, good lighting, plenty of space and a mini fridge with some drinks and snacks for when needed. The complex itself was huge, which was great as I had to do daily walks as part of my physio/rehabilitation, so after a day on the beach we'd walk around the gardens and complex having a good look at the luxury villas etc as we went. We don't have kids, but honestly we told all of our friends about this place, as it would be great for their young families. SO MUCH to do for them! Jealous I wasn't actually a kid myself haha. There is a water park, kids club, animals, tennis, climbing etc etc. Don't forget the ice cream parlour! My husband is a big kid when it come to ice cream! You also get access to mini magnums & crisps at the bars. Don't forget the Starbucks options! We had an iced Macchiato every day. An afternoon pick me up before cocktails. As a couple, we were able to relax, have nice cocktails, eat nice food & generally have a great stay whilst still recovering. Honestly we haven't stopped telling people about the place. And now we've booked again, twice in 6 months. We don't go anywhere twice! The food...honestly we thought it was lovely! I would probably get bored if we were staying for 2 weeks. But I would anywhere. I get bored at home! The salad bar is something else!! I'm a girl that loves her food, but that doesn't mean I don't like my greens. And the daily salads were insane. So much choice! So fresh. The bbq outside was amazing, fresh fish, the lamb chops were to die for (we haven't) stopped talking about them since. The desserts, the baklava, the hot food, the bakery etc, just all so good! I honestly loved it all and I'm fussy about food quality. There is a patisserie, which I took myself off to on a solo date for an hour & the place is beautiful! What's also not to love, unlimited desserts! The overall look of the hotel is lovely! We didn't try the restaurants as we were so happy with the food in the main buffet. However this time I hope to get booked into the Turkish place, that kind of food is my idea of heaven! Entertainment - As we were at the every end of the season, we got 2 nights of entertainment & then it closed for the season at the main stage. The DJ for those 2 nights was fab! Old school RnB tunes made me very happy! The bar near the pool that is a bit like a pub after this, wasn't our thing after the main stage closed for season. The sports bar place could do with a bit of a refurb. Things we didn't try, the sports, I couldn't, but where they held them just off the beach was lovely. I'm hoping to try out the Yoga & Pilates this time. The free trips to the Land of Legends, did have the energy, but I'm sure worth a trip if you have kids or spare days. We looked into the spa, but the treatments were far too expensive unfortunately. I know spas & treatments are expensive (but worth the 'me time'), but this seemed beyond that. I've been to 5 star spas in the UK & the treatments have been much cheaper. Such a shame, but I understand the staff deserve to be paid well also. That was my only disappointment really about the stay. This trip I'm hoping for an equally lovely room, the food to be just as lovely, great cocktails, Pilates & generally another relaxing atmosphere. We were lucky to have access to the cabanas for the last 2 days as they were closing & staff were about to dismantle them anyway. They are only for the villa guests. So if you are lucky to be in one. Enjoy! I'll be shouting all about it as usual on my socials, but also scared too many people will find it. I enjoyed there not being too many Brits, even though I am British lol. Ideal for families with children. Everything is customer oriented. Food quality is very good. The facility has a clean air due to its location. The heated outdoor pool is a great advantage. In April, the weather is around 20-25 degrees and the sea is cold in these months. It is not possible to stay in the sea for a long time. However, the heated pool closes this gap.

This is going to be detailed and will review everything about this hotel. This was our third Rixos visit, after Premium Belek and Land of Legends holidays in last couple of years so this review reflects the comparison: 1. Rixy Kids Club - I can give 10 stars out of 5 to Rixy, honestly. Our 9 year daughter had the best time with amazing people who run the kids club. She always felt welcomed and loved. Special mention to Beyza with whom our daughter created a special bond. All other animators, Ilayda, Guzel, Leyla and everyone else were super amazing. The aqua park and lazy river along with other numerous activities makes Rixy a true kids paradise. 2. Room - I will give it 3 out 5. It felt old and dated in comparison to other hotels we have stayed and this did not look like a 5 star. We checked in on 5th and room was last cleaned on 29th March from the notes we found. We could smell that. Location and views were amazing though. We were not provided full supplies either and had to request. 3. Pools - Again, 3 out of 5 as the pools were not heated on first 2 days of our holiday and were really cold. After 2 days, only one out of 3 pools was heated and indoor pool became inoperational. It felt crowded around the pool as a result. 4. The Landscape- 5 out of 5. The place is beautiful from all angles. Surrounded by mountains and a beautiful sea the views were stunning at any time of the day. There is a free electric cart that takes you around the grounds all day and it was super amazing. 5. Waiters and Servers - 3 our of 5. We had to call people and ask for attention all the time. They were walking around without making eye contacts. We did not experience that at other Rixos hotels. On a couple of days we actually set our own table with a few other guests as there was no one around. The hotel appeared short staffed. 6. Ala Carte restaurants- 4 out 5. We tried Ala Turca , People's and Mandarin and the food was amazing. There were little options for vegetarians and unlike Premium Belek where chefs made custom veg food for us, it did not happen here. 7. Our Assistants - 5 out of 5. Both of our assistants, Yagmur and Merve were amazing and they provided us on time help and support everyday via whatsapp. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Rixos Premium Tekirova. It is a beautiful hotel located in a great part of Turkey with beautiful views all around. It wasn't perfect but still a great holiday break.

Beautiful hotel

Just finished a week here and everything was perfect. We had a spacious deluxe double room with huge bed and double sofa bed. The facilities here are fantastic. The food at the 2 free a la cartes- Mandarin and a la Turka - was amazing. In the buffet restaurant we were looked after by the superb Head waiter Ihsan AYSEL - he found us tables each time and also made my tea the English way! His service was 10 out of 10. The waiter 'Can' and the lady on roller skates work tirelessly to look after guests. They help to make guests relax by doing all the hard work. It cost £30 per hr to keep the room on after check out so we didn't bother and opted to use the Spa showers and changing rooms which worked well. Ice cream parlour was great and is open late so you can just stroll down in the evening. The area around is beautiful at night and there's a great atmosphere to sit and enjoy the evenings. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you to all the staff!
