Firstly, the hotel is not close to Zurich Central Station. It is a good 15 minutes walk to get there. There are plenty of other good options closer to the station. It is not close to the station, but it is very close to the train system. This means that when the train start operating at 5am, you won't be able to sleep because of the noise. Checking in takes 15 minutes of paperwork (even at 11.30pm when there is no one else but me checking in). Erratic operation of the magnetic keys to open the room. Room badly heated. Breakfast cost 37 CHF! And you have to wait 15 minutes for a standard espresso. The customer satisfaction survey is very clever in the sense that it suggests that if you are satisfied, you can go to Google to give your opinion, and if you are not, you can send an email to the general manager. This means that the ratings you see on Google and Trip are likely to be biased towards satisfied customers. If your main criterion for choosing a hotel is design, this is certainly an interesting experience. Otherwise, no good reason to go there at this price.

We had one night in Zurich and picked this for the great vibe. The staff were so friendly and the location was easy to get to the train station and the airport. The room was large and roomy and a perfect place to pack! The room design is innovative and the shower was wonderful.

Thank you so much for the great stay! The team at the reception was super friendly and helpful. I also felt very well taken care of in the restaurant, both in the evening and at breakfast—great service and really good food. My room was clean and practically furnished, with lots of thoughtful details. I’d happily come back and can recommend it to everyone!

Other than the size of the rooms (on the smaller side), there is little you can complain about at the 25 Hour hotel in Zurich. Rooms are clean and modern. Nice design with unconventional aspects such as a bench to sit by the window, which makes the room cozy. Bathroom is integrated into the room, which means that the sink is in the room and the toilet and shower have their own small respective rooms. You should be OK with the fact that there will not be perfect privacy for the one taking a shower. If you need to work, you can make up for the small room by using the work space at the mezzanine level (desks and good wifi). The biggest plus is the location, smack on happening Langstrasse and districts 4 and 5. The traditional touristy hotspots in the old town are a 20-minute walk away. Station is less than 10 minutes away and makes for easy connections via train or to the airport. One downside of the prime location is noise: If you open the window, you will hear people partying at night, especially during the weekend. The windows are phenomenal, though, so simply closing them will give you all the quiet you need.

UGH. Cute decor in our hotel room but couldn’t feel any impact from the AC (which instead of a temperature gauge is just an unmarked knob). Some outlets didn’t work, no closet where you could hang up clothes, no WASHCLOTHS so you can’t wash your face at night. Flimsy pillows so we balled up our clothes and slept with our heads on that. The “free mini bar” was full of drinks that a previous guest had drunk half of. Very expensive restaurant in the lobby. Some nice people at the front desk! That’s the only positive. The rest of the experience was like staying in an uncomfortable college dorm room. To be avoided!
