Very Disappointing Stay – Not Up to Rixos Standards We stayed at Rixos Premium Jumeirah for 10 nights as a family (two adults and two children), and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We booked a Junior Suite, which was completely unsuitable for a family. We had four suitcases, yet the suite had only one very small wardrobe, not even enough for one person, let alone four. This made our stay extremely uncomfortable. Regarding housekeeping, all hotels we have stayed in usually offer evening turndown service. This hotel claims to have it, but in reality, it was very inconsistent and often did not happen. On one occasion, the air conditioning in the living room stopped working. We informed the housekeeping staff, who promised it would be fixed and that the room would be cleaned. We returned later to find neither the room cleaned nor the AC repaired. Overall, the service was very poor, especially compared to other Rixos hotels and resorts we have stayed at before, which made this experience even more disappointing. When we spoke to the manager the day after arrival about the small room and wardrobe, he offered no real solution, only suggesting extra hangers for the clothes. After that, there was no follow-up at all to check on our satisfaction. The kids area was very small, with no activities, and extremely boring for children. We booked half board including dinner, and were surprised to find out that drinks were not included at dinner, which was not clearly communicated. One evening, we arrived 10 minutes before dinner closing time, and the staff literally told us, “You only have 10 minutes,” with no flexibility, cooperation, or courtesy. In addition, on one morning we went down for breakfast and found guests standing in a long queue just to enter the restaurant, as its capacity was clearly not sufficient for the number of guests. After this experience, we decided not to go for breakfast at all for the rest of our stay. Sadly, this was a very bad experience, and instead of feeling relaxed during our vacation, the only relief was finally returning home to rest. I would not recommend this hotel for families.
