Not a 5-Star Hotel – More Like 3-Star

We stayed here from 5th–17th September and, unfortunately, this hotel is nowhere near a 5-star standard. At best, it’s a 3-star for Dubai. Positives: The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location, close to the beach. Rooms are modern, comfortable, and the balconies are a good size (something you don’t always find in Dubai). Negatives: The pool is tiny with far too few sunbeds for the number of guests. We needed three sunbeds but every morning they were all taken, meaning we often had to sit separately. The food was very disappointing. Breakfast was repetitive and very crowded, while dinner offered little variety, wasn’t child-friendly, and was unsuitable for picky eaters. We ended up swapping dinner for lunch on some days and eating out most evenings, which cost us extra. The overall facilities and atmosphere simply don’t match what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. We booked this hotel because it was cheaper than the more premium options on The Palm, but in hindsight, it wasn’t worth it. If you want a proper 5-star Dubai experience, I would recommend Hyatt Andaz The Palm, Fairmont The Palm, Rixos JBR, or Dukes The Palm instead.
