Stayed in one of the cabins. I had a few little niggles, the bedsheet was infuriating and wouldn't stay on the bed and although the cabin was surface clean enough I always had the feeling that if I probed deeper I might find some grot (so I didn't probe!). The fire alarm went off the first night I stayed which isn't the ho(s)tel's fault but the lights wouldn't turn off for a good while afterwards which was frustrating. The shared showers were good. Ultimately, for the price it's hard to complain. I do think there might have been bedbugs in a different room as I saw a room being treated, but ultimately that's not their fault that somebody's brought them in and it was reassuring in a way to see that it was being taken care of.

Cabin Stay - Exceptional value, comfortable and clean.

I stayed in one of the private cabins, which I found to be comfortable, clean and exceptional value. There are 4 cabins, which have private locks and are secure in each room, and given they are made with wood, sound travels through these easily. There were a few times where you could hear other people in the 3 other cabins coming in at 1/2am or leaving at 6/7am, which was a little disturbing. The mattresses are big (you could easily fit two people on it), but are only provided a single duvet, and the bed sheet is not put on prior to your arrival. The showers/toilets/sinks are shared and are separate to the cabin rooms, but are a short walk down the hall. I showered twice, the first time was great, there was shower gel in the shower, but the second shower I had didn't have a dispenser, and I was already in the shower wet, so I ended up washing myself with face wash only, which was frustrating. The checkin process was simple and easy, and so was the checkout process. The staff were friendly and the hostel felt safe and secure. It is a very short walk from Gentilly Metro station, which has super easy access into the city. I stayed twice in March 2025, I only had breakfast on the first visit. It was basic, and the quality was ok. For the price, I would recommend going somewhere local or in the city for better value/quality, but it is convenient, and I guess if you are on a budget, it is an "unlimited" buffet, albeit what is on offer is limited. A pleasant stay and the rooms really are great value! I would stay again!

To confirm the review I just attempted, this is a great hostel. Great atmosphere, staff and facilities. There was lots of room in the lounge for a large group without crowding anyone. We watched a football game on the big screen. I will stay there next time I’m in Paris

Check for Bed Bugs!!!

Long story short, I got bit several times on my arm and neck by beg bugs. The place is truly nice and hospitable besides the bugs. There aren't any other reviews saying this besides on here so I think they are trying to act like they don't have an issue.

Wasn’t expecting the world as this was a more budget option. However one thing I found upsetting was how rude the staff were, given other reviews I hadn’t anticipated staff to make fun of guest to their faces in French, presuming they would not understand. I overheard it happening about other guests and later myself, if you hate foreigners, especially younger foreigners who may sometimes be naive, maybe don’t work at a hostel. Stayed in a decent number of hostels in my time, never seen this before. Otherwise agree with other comments, general lack of cleanliness but not that bad for a budget hostel, cabin rooms could do with some soundproofing as there is non at all and during flu season not ideal. Managed to pick up an eye infection, whether this from the hostel or elsewhere can’t be certain but I could make a good guess.
