Perfect location for a great hotel. Whether visiting Colmar during the busy Christmas season or otherwise, the location is perfect for seeing the town and surrounding area. It's about a 1 km from the train station and far enough away from the city center that you have peace and quiet, although it's barely a 10 minute walk to the center. It was the best location for visiting the Christmas market. Rooms were clean, spacious and well kept. The breakfast buffet was the perfect way to start the day. While the restaurant is only available for the breakfast buffet, they do have a bar that remains open throughout the day with great wine/drink options. Even had hot chocolate for the kids and excellent mulled wine for adults. There's also a small snack bar/store area to buy items for the room as well as local items. There's a kids area in the lobby where they can watch TV, and there's an array of board games and card games they can play with too. Staff were great - always polite and helpful. Great stay in the perfect spot to visit Colmar.

Excellent stay. Comfortable hotel with modern rooms, breakfast room, and a bar. There were a lot of families with kids when we were there, and there is a kids corner in the lobby. Bar is not extensive, but sufficient. Breakfast buffet was more than ample. Very friendly staff. A short walk to the center of town,. Good value for the money.

Sad and depressing hotel suite

We stayed one night in Novotel Suites Colmar Centre in order to visit the Christmas market. Globally the hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is generous. Nevertheless, the hotel suite ("suite supérieure") that we stayed in was depressing, sad and not cosy at all. Our bed was facing a white wall, the color of the furniture is grey, there was no toiletries or personal care products and no magazines. The room was purely functional without human touch! The price of the suite was very expensive for what it was. We paid EUR 500 for a night in a suite....

Hello, we thank you for your feedback, you did not like your 28m2 room, with lounge area (sofa and table) microwave, coffee machine, kettle, separate toilet, shower and bathtub in your bathroom, wifi, bottled water, coffee, teas offered? Plus in front of your bed you have a huge television, not a wall... As you may know, individual plastic beauty products have been removed from hotels, but we have replaced them with products from the world famous brand RITUALS. Rate offers are available all year round on our website, but by reserving the last rooms late in the middle of the Christmas market, you cannot benefit from offers. Sincerely

Bright, loud, no privacy room because refuse to allow A/C

You book a room which lists air-conditioning as an amenity. Be careful. Just because it has an air-conditioning unit, doesn’t mean you are going to be able to use it. Temperatures reached into the high 70s during the day yet the hotel refused to turn on the air-conditioning. We were told to open our windows. Our room overlooked the courtyard and faced other rooms a few hundred feet away, plus another building adjacent to the hotel had rooms a few feet from our windows. With the windows open, we had zero privacy. Furthermore, it wasn’t cool enough outside to cool down the rooms as much as we’d prefer. Open windows allowed sound in. People stayed up pretty late socializing in the courtyard below. Plus, there were lights shining into our room. Open windows = misery We called reception and they sent a repair person. The repair person tinkered around and declared the a/c fixed. It wasn’t. The next day we called and, again, they offered to send someone up. Not wanting to waste more of my time on a farce, I asked point-blank, if the a/c is functional this time of year? Finally, I was told that the a/c is not turned on this time of year, only in the summer. We never did get a good nights sleep during the five nights we spent at this hotel. We liked the rooms decor with the large and attractive storage unit, with mini-fridge and coffee-maker. The room was very clean. We also liked the prepared foods they had for sale near the reception desk. That’s the end of the positives. The reception staff during the day was capable and knowledgeable. The staff at nighttime need training and seemed a bit clueless. We would never stay here again as our most basic requirement, a comfortable room to sleep in, was not met. We also do not appreciate games being played regarding being dishonest about the air-conditioning. To be fair, this hotel is not isolated in this practice. We’ve encountered this dishonesty regarding air-conditioning 2 other times in our travels through France and once in Germany. However, this was the worst instance because we were there for so long, they had time to correct the issue if they so chose but they let us be miserable instead.

Hello, we are surprised by your anonymous message and your rating of 1/5 for an air conditioning problem. This rating is not correct for all people who work in the hotel. Our hotel is fortunate to have a double flow system, which allows hot air or cold air at the same time all year round. We had no problems this spring or summer. Read all the comments to find out. If we had had a problem, we would have had plenty of comments on the air conditioning. And there 0. If there was any incorrect information on our part, we apologize, we always listen to our customers and we always find a solution to customer requests. Sincerely.

New modern hotel; large rooms and great quiet location

The hotel is new and thus modern. we had a large quiet room. The staff are great and very helpful. The location is also great within walking distance of the old town. We liked the fact that one could buy a quick continental breakfast at a reasonable price instead of restricting it to a buffet breakfast which we don't need. We were very happy with our decision to stay here.
