We stayed here for almost for 1 month, great location, room's are good and friendly staff. We have taken room with kitchen attached, it's really great. Only drawback is privacy. Housekeeping was excellent. Drawback they have not given discount on long stay. Overall a good place to stay.

I was immediately impressed by the lovely receptionist that checked me in. She absolutely nailed the welcome. It’s the first Accor property I’ve stayed at, to be properly welcomed as a loyalty member. The hand written welcome note was also a really nice touch! I’ve stayed at Sofitel properties and received a lot less. So this was a really great first impression to kick off the stay here. The room was exactly as described, it was a decent size and was well presented. The room was very clean. Bed was pretty comfortable too (although it was two singles made up to one so could feel the divide but not a biggie). The air conditioning wasn’t the best (I like to sleep in a really cold room) but it was OK. I didn’t have a view of anything particularly exciting but didn’t stay here for the view so wasn’t fussed. I heard very little if any noise at night. I did eat dinner at the in-house restaurant which was also good too- again the staff here were lovely as well and made me feel like I was being looked after. Would I stay here again? I definitely would, and believe it offers good value for money. I would also recommend to others looking at staying here.

Overall the hotel met my expectations

I booked the Deluxe room with 1 Kingsize bed for $250.00. Described as follows: 33sqm open concept guestroom has a kitchenette and dining area. It features a King bed, Fisher and Paykel kitchen equipment, bathroom with designer amenities, WiFi and 49inch LED TV. Overall it was as per the photos, clean and spacious with various sky sports and movies channels as normal. The negative in terms of the room, it seems hotels no longer provide mini bar snacks anymore which is a shame. Additionally this hotel has gone the way of providing sop , moisturizer, shampoo etc via pump action disposal units. I find these detract from the experience and are the equivalent of a cafe providing butter in a disposal package rather than in a separate stylee butter plate. This one small factor can be the difference between an average cafe from an excellent cafe. The same goes for pump action soap and shampoo dispensers. It comes across as tacky. One other negative for the room. The TV remote, as per the photo, was filthy. I hated even touching it as I know it hadn't been cleaned in years. Its these little things that make the difference. Hotel overall: Hotel staff - friendly and courteous. No issues here. It was extremely hot and muggy outside and walking into the hotel lobby it was ice cold. The air conditioning was way too cold. As it is summer I hadnt packed a sweatshirt or anything similar. Consequently it was far too cold for me to go to the restaurant or even have a sit down coffee as I was way to cold in just a t shirt. So lost business for the hotel. The hotel lobby, foyer, and ground floor which included the one restaurant, felt a little claustrophobic and small. Parking - not just this hotel but others are starting to charge fees to park in their carparks. I don't think this is appropriate to be honest. It cost $5.00 per night (a 50% discount as I am an Accor member). It seems like more price gouging. Conclusion: I would stay again but be prepared with wipes for the remote and a second layer of clothing for the foyer and restaurant.

This year I've had the fun and pleasure of staying at least 1 night a week at Sebel Manukau. Staff - excellent, especially in ORA, can't thank the team enough - you know who you are Rooms - always good, minor lapses but nothing to really complain about Check in - out - friendly efficient and always welcoming For me this is, sadly, the end of an era. @024? Not sure yet, however if I do come to Auckland, Sebel Manukau will be first on the list. To everyone at the Property grateful thanks, Merry Christmas and Happy 2024
