I experienced not a pleasant the fromt desk’s requirement to provide a deposit without any sense. I paid fully for my stay by checking-in, the credit card is registered in All app and as a check-in detail , and I clearly mentioned that I would not plan to use any additional services, or I would pay for anything I would use by checkin-out. The arguments that the depositing was in the “hotel policy”, but nothing was shown as a reference, to deposit “at least 100 or 200 JOD”, the punches “are you first time in Amman?”, were not professional. I had never experienced such push from any of the hotel (not even considering Fairmont level and 5-star hotel especially). If the hotel is not sure about me as a guest and my ability to cover my expenses, it would be better to present it in another way, as the manner was confusing. Mentioning the issue with the deposit requirement, the issues of a not complete clean room and smell of a cigarette smoke in a bathroom became less negatively impressive. But overall it was a not perfect. Second day of my stay I found that the room was not house-kept. What I was said, the button “not disturb” was clicked and left switched on when I left the room after first night. I accept the reason, but honestly it was hard to interpret not marked grey switches that they control external door signs, and were accidentally clicked when I was trying to find how switch off the light everywhere.
