Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel 4 estrellas

Went to this hotel for my birthday from the moment we arrived to the time we left we where made to feel so welcome the staff was always freindly happy people well done to you all our room was lovely we had dinner both nights in the restaurant which was lovely and breakfast each morning poached eggs was superb and again the staff was lovely

Excellent in every way. Just returned from a two night break. I don’t usually write reviews. All the staff were friendly and very efficient. The room clean, warm and well serviced. We dined in the Kite restaurant the first night and in the bar on the second night. Excellent drink and food on both occasions. We also had a cream tea on arrival which was one of the best we have ever had. The reception staff in particular were exceptional.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated; however the food is quite average. I ordered a salmon and my friend ordered a chicken dish. Both were average. The really bad thing was the appalling service at the place. We got there around 5.50pm knowingly the food order starts at 6pm. The lady who 'welcomed' us, didn't offer us to sit down, she looked surprised we were even there! When we asked if we could order food she said quite annoyed, that we had to wait 3 more minutes - he whole demeanour was just not welcoming at all. Then, when we ordered our drinks, a young waitress with the most petulant attitude came to our table, she was not welcoming either; when my friend ordered our wine, she rolled eyes and left. We called her back and asked her to bring nibbles; my friend who's over 70, asked her if she could bring those 'Japanese -like nuts from the big jar at the bar, and this woman refuted the request arguing (completely irrelevant argument, I don't understand why she even bothered), 'THE ARE NOT JAPANESE LIKE NUTS, WE DON'T HAVE JAPANESE LIKE NUTS HERE!'... She left and upon return, with a very unpleasant attitude put the small plates with nuts, so my friend said: they do look like Japanese nuts! This waitress now had the audacity to yell at us, saying she didn't care what they were and accusing us for being 'rude' and she stormed off! Leaving us completely and utterly gobsmacked. I must say, this unnecessary and irrelevant episode, left us with a horrific taste, we just decided to eat and ignore such display of arrogance. Service at this place was very unpleasant, not-welcoming and absolutely petulant. Fair to say, we won't come back again; also, we won't recommend it to anyone. Their menu isn't the one that is online either... don't dare mentioning it to anyone as they will take offence too.

Voy al menos una vez al mes, y estoy encantado con el servicio: recepción, restaurante, bar, etc. todo excelente. No obstante se podrían todavía mejorar algunos temas como la calidad de las toallas de baño, o la pobre iluminación en la habitación

Nuestra estancia en The Lambert Arms, puedo decir que fue encantadora. La habitación muy espaciosa, limpia y bien decorada. El personal del hotel muy atento y agradable. Cuando llegamos la tele no funcionaba, llamamos a recepción y en dos minutos estaban en la habitación solventando el problema. El desayuno bastante completo, puedes elegir el buffet que se incluye en el precio de la habitación o el clásico english breakfast, por unas 7 libras. El hotel se encuentra en la carretera, rodeado del verde inglés, asi que necesitas coche para todo. Es un sitio muy tranquilo y bonito.
