My wife and I stayed here and weren’t disappointed. Many reviews complain about the room layouts but we didn’t find this to be a problem for us. The rooms are very clean and spacious and have everything you could need. The staff, especially on reception were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We used the valet parking service which some people thinks is costly but for us it worked very well. If you are in Rotorua, we would highly recommend staying here if you need somewhere to stay.

Not quite what we expected from the Pullman! The rooms had a quirky layout, and the conference centre’s music was absolutely pumping until late into the night. We called reception hoping for some help, but were told it was the conference manager’s issue — not exactly the peaceful sleep solution we were after! Overall, it didn’t really feel like a 5-star experience for the price. On a positive note, dinner at Barrel & Co was a better — the food was absolutely beautiful! Massive credit to the chefs. It was just a bit of a shame that the service team seemed stretched thin (only two people looking after a full house), which led to a few forgotten orders and a bit of unorganised chaos.

Although the rooms were spacious, the shower and toilet were simply frosted glass cubicles within the room itself. Zero privacy, especially bad if you are travelling with a friend. For that reason alone, I would not stay here again. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but we found the restaurant food overpriced ( which I guess could be said for many hotels) . There are many restaurants within a stones throw that were cheaper and far better quality. When we travelled, the hotel rates were very expensive, and for us, the overall experience did not warrant it.
