I stayed in four amazing hotels in Europe, but this one in Paris really disappointed me. I made my reservation four months in advance and noted my late arrival after 11:30 PM. When I checked in, I was assigned a room on the second floor. I didn’t care about the view, but I had booked a king bed, and when I arrived, I found a queen bed instead. Exhausted, I called the receptionist and he said: “Are you sure? I will come to verify in 10 Minutes” - SUCH A JOKE!. After 20 minutes with no response, I went to the front desk. The staff member told me they couldn’t do anything because the hotel was overbooked. The manager eventually changed my room the next day, but it was still disappointing: a king-size bed made up of two single mattresses. No courtesy or discount was offered at all. On Sunday, I headed to the bar, which was supposed to close at 1 AM, but it closed at 10 PM. The breakfast was also lacking. Overall, I felt I paid for a subpar experience. Not a great administration. I stayed in Novotel hotels before… did not have this bad experience.

Our first visit to France so thought I would spend a little extra on a hotel. Whilst its a nice hotel, spotlessly clean, with friendly staff, the room was very basic and not particularly spacious and I was surprised by this. It was like a premier inn room in the UK and for the money I paid, over 500Euros for two nights, I was surprised to find paper cups in the bedroom for making tea and half a window! ...... The curtains went from wall to wall but behind one curtain was a window, but when opening the other curtains, found it disguising a wall. Bit disappointing when I had paid a considerable amount of money and working in the hotel industry myself for many years now, I can say confidently that this room was not worth the money I paid. Location is good, 5 minute walk to nearest metro station, breakfast on the 8th floor was relaxed with a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

Booked an executive suite to feel the “vip experience” as they say, but was quite the contrary. As an Accor member and employee, I was very disappointed. On arrival, my tv did not work, so I had to call the receptionist on the confusing phone book from the room but managed to get a call back after calling random numbers. After getting it to work I came to know there were no English channels apart from news, as well as an app setting on the remote which didn’t work. I then requested for some water, which I was told I had to travel down 7 floors to the bar just to get, which I assumed required payment. After that, I came to find there was a water machine on the 7th floor by myself, not from the staff, which was unhelpful. I continued with my trip and came back to the hotel one night requesting some English breakfast tea bags, which they told me they weren’t sure if they have, as well as some more milk pots which I was told to get from the bar (which requires payment) to which I said I only want the small ones provided in the room with the tea and coffee kit. The response I got was “Oh I know, I’ll try and send somebody up” and of course nobody came up. My room was cleaned when I was out, but my vanity kits were not replaced. The room was okay, I wouldn’t say luxury as there wasn’t much difference to the previous hotel I stayed in Paris last year which wasn’t luxury. Bathroom door didn’t lock which isn’t a big issue for me but could be for some and the ac was complicated to control which is never an issue for me. Overall, for the amount I paid, I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money for the so called “vip experience” as it did not feel this way. The location isn’t too bad, maybe 30 mins from the centre, but you can certainly stay closer to the centre for a similar price, if not less.

I was in Paris on work and checked in early morning just when some people were checking out, so it took us a few minutes. The hotel seems to be popular among journalists covering French Open and given that the Grand Slam was underway, it was full. The room was comfortable, although small, just as most Novotels are. It’s close to Eiffel but a long walk — may be 30/ 40 minutes— ans in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of eating options close by

I stayed with Novotel in other countries multiple times, but this has to be the worst. The housekeeping staff didn't refill the shower gel and it took over 30 mins to deliver anything from them. I was told that the hotel only has one person servicing all the rooms. The staff members seem friendly, but clearly overworked. This place is understaffed and the guests are underserved. I don't recommend this to anyone
