This hotel is listed as 4 Star. That is a lie. It is at best, 3 Star and struggles in places to even be that. If they did not advertise as being 4 Star, I probably would not be writing this review. It is the deception of claiming the higher status that warrants this review. The Foosball table in the lobby right outside the elevators lets you know right away that you are not in for a 4 Star experience. The elevator was drab, scuffed stainless steel, with dingy threadbare black carpeting. The décor in the halls is a dark, black on white geometric design that does not provide any touch of elegance. The storage in the room is an open shelf arrangement. This is low rent. No 4 Star accommodation has you store your things on an open rack. This is a 2 Star feature. We needed additional hangers for our clothing, and I requested them. Was told: “They didn’t have very many, but would look.” I never received them. The “office desk” in the room was literally one of those tray tables that you can pull over a bed to give you a table to eat at, except it was not on wheels so you couldn’t really do that – I am just giving you a sense of the small size. This was a particular point of dissatisfaction because I had emailed the hotel beforehand to inquire about the ability to work from the hotel room (my spouse accompanied me on the trip and needed to work remotely from the hotel on the days I was at the conference – the reason for the trip). We were assured this was easy to accommodate. Do not advertise a desk or office facility in the room when it is a tray table. The first night the bed was too hot for comfortable sleep. The duvet was too heavy – the first heatwave of the year hit for our visit. The next morning on my way out I requested an additional duvet cover (with no duvet inserted) – basically a sheet – so we could switch if too hot again. It was not delivered. That night I had to go ask for it again. Poor service. The bed itself was not terrible, it was decently comfortable, just not the quality common to 4 Star hotels. The bedding was low thread count and felt a little rough which degraded the overall sleep experience further. The hotel cleaning staff were friendly and nice.

I booked the hotel, on arrival it was closed and no one notified us. Actually, we called them making sure it was open and they ensured that it will be. Arriving there, hotel was closed and we needed to find another place to stay (paid unnecessary high amount because of disorganized Mercure). They promised us to use our nights on a later moment. Due to the covid restrictions it was impossible going to the this hotel, where we contacted way before the expiration date if something could be done. Anyway, the hotel did not response after they received the information needed and waited till we passed the expiration date. I had to chase them again and they told me now the date is passed. I expected a better service especially from a hotel chain like Mercure/Accor. This is unfair and daylight 'robbery'.

Do NOT stay here! Extortionate and exceptionally disappointing.

Firstly, when I booked a room at this hotel through Booking.com it was clearly stated that the room would cost me a total €87 with a free upgrade to a “superior double room”. When it came to paying, I was quoted €96.88 and was told this was the actual rate of the room and NOT what Booking.com quoted. Secondly, AFTER paying up front and in full for the room, I was told to provide a €150 deposit (more than the cost of the room itself). Absolutely no valid reason was given for this and I still do not have that €150 deposit back 6 days later. This is wholly unacceptable and very very deceptive. The “superior” double room was very clearly a room intended for a disabled person / wheelchair user with an en-suite bathroom that was twice the size of actual bedroom space (i.e. the main space was sacrificed for an oversized bathroom). There was absolutely nothing “superior” about the room. The bathroom was an open plan wet room (which I despise) and was all wet and slippy after each shower (which was annoying when using the bathroom afterwards). The room itself was really cold and even when the (noisy) air conditioner was maxed to 35 degrees, the room was barely lukewarm. The noise at night was unacceptable with a lot of loud disruptive behaviour going on at the entrance with some angry guests locked-out. The breakfast (which cost €18) was very poor in its selection with a non-functioning coffee machine, watered-down juices and only 3 cooked components. I’ve had vastly superior breakfasts in hostels. The area immediately outside the hotel had quite a lot of unsavoury characters hanging about (some openly drug dealing). I didn’t feel at all safe at night. I will never return to this hotel and very strongly discourage others from doing so also.

Stayed for a 3 nights while working nearby. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms was very clean seemed newly renovated. Bathroom was a bit odd. Very large, but with no bath, just a wet room style shower, but all new so can’t really complain. Breakfast buffet selection wasn’t massive but was good. Was woken by a fire alarm at 1am on the first night that was thankfully a false alarm. Location is not very interesting for tourists, but was good for me as it was a 20min walk to the office that avoided line 13 in the rush hour, which is a huge bonus.
