Spacious room, good and quick response to my request. Nining who was the receptionist at the moment is kind and warm. I asked for a queen bed, unfortunately the room is not available at the moment, but they helped me to move the twin bed and change the sheet size so it feels like a big bed. Thank you!

Nice and Clean Room

Nice and Clean room The rooms was nice and spacious but the tv chanel very limited not as standard as international chain. Stay here 5 nights,breakfast was below standard,fruit empty and less selection,daily rotation not really changes. The staff was nice,the rooms was clean and good location. Mercure BSD is a fun hotel, they have a game machine in the lobby, massage chair on meeting room area, basketball hoops machine near the pool. Room is clean, thank you mba Sarah for the service. Breakfast is super fun. They have Indomie station, jamu station, local food station, even gluten free bread and cookies

I’ve been frequent to Mercure BSD for my stay during business trips. The rooms are nice, clean and super comfy.. The check-in process was smooth and reception staff are very courteous, welcoming and super helpful.. A special call out for Ms Ninning for her willingness to answer my questions, assist with requests and even recommend me places nearby. Overall, I highly recommend Mercure BSD for an enjoy full stay.

Good hotel but need improvement in some areas

The hotel is in good condition, new building, hotel design is good, room and building are well maintained, clean and everything was working well in my room. However the hotel is very small, parking space is very limited and location is not in prime location. Probably the hotel is good choice if you have event in BSD/ serpong area since Serpong area has no luxury international chain hotel. Breakfast is also pretty good and tasty for our palate. The selection was not many, but the quality is pretty good. To my surprise, hotel breakfast offer red rice every day which is very suitable for those who has dietary restriction. Based on my experience, (I have stayed in all 5 stars hotel in Jakarta), only 2 hotel offer red rice (one is Ritz carlton Pacific Place and another one is Mercure BSD). Hence, i really appreciate Mercure BSD management which offer red rice option for its guest. It is veryyyyy rare find for hotel to have red rice in Jakarta. Normally, i will need to Gofood the red rice from nearby restaurant. However, the need for Mercure to provide training to its FO staff as they are not very aware of how to treat its elite member. FO staff, named Kelly, Maysica, Nining, Laras, is not aware what to do / how to handle elite member. I find it very disturbing that the FO staff are not proactive in giving detail information, such as breakfast location, breakfast benefit, what benefit Platinum member get in your property, late check out, and so on. When i requested for a paid upgrade, they didnt know what to do, until i need to call the FO. They dont know when i can move to Suite room. I was asking this question, because it was noon time and i want to go out with my family. I was not asking to move to Suite room RIGHT NOW. I was asking when the room is ready. The FO cant answer this and even get the information wrong by saying that i want to extend my stay (???). I dont know what your staff was saying. Long story short, when i got finally my Suite and room key is delivered to room, they didnt tell me how to make payment and i need to ask the FO how the payment will be made. They didnt check in the system that i had deposit earlier and saying that edc machine will be delivered to my room. After i moved to my Suite, i requested for late check out and FO staff Nining gave me late check out until 5pm and then i went back up to my room. I forgot that late check out will result in our room key need to be extended to 5pm too, otherwise, the room key will be put offline at 12pm the next day. So i went back down to FO team to have my key extended to 5pm to be in line with my late check out request. Nining was not proactive at all and causing me trouble to keep coming back to FO which is not acceptable for 4 star hotels quality. Maybe Nining never stay at luxury hotels before and her attitude was a turn off for guests. Another concern is about my deposit that i made upon check in under my old room (1108) and move to Suite (1001). Will the deposit be transfered automatically to new room or better to have old deposit settled and make new deposit (if you want new deposit, im okay)? I need to proactively ask FO otherwise FO wont tell me. To my point of view, Nining and other FO staff was totally hopeless staff. I am an Accor Platinum member and Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member. I have stayed in allllll 5 stars hotel in Jakarta and i can say that your FO team need improvement and was not up to standard of international chain hotel. If possible, you need to specifically put red warning and give special attention to Nining, maysica, laras and kelly. In all hotels, the staff (not even supervisor / manager) will check for the guest booking first before providing information to guests. But your staff prefers to give wrong information to guests without having the need to do checking. So the guests need to be cautious of your staff information because normally it will be misleading. I dont know how many years of experiences they had in hospitality industry. All the above has been discussed personally to your Duty Manager, Mr Adit. Hopefully you will refresh and provide more training to your staff. *pls remember writing long reviews in Tripadvisor takes more than 30mnts of my time. So, i was shooting your FO staff at their face because they were beyond acceptable limit. I wont spend 30mnts to write this long paragraph if it was not serious case.
