From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The cleanliness of the entire hotel was exceptional, creating a relaxing and comfortable environment. But what really sets this hotel apart, however, is its staff. They are all consistently polite, and genuinely warm and welcoming, not to mention professional, and incredibly efficient. There are too many to mention, but Sreyny (our personal butler) , in particular, provided service that went above and beyond as did Mao (?), the Raffles tuk tuk driver. Also, don’t miss the fantastic breakfast, or the cocktails at the iconic Elephant Bar (the Phenom Penh Sling was a personal favourite of mine - and an excellent take on the original Singapore Sling).

Family Weekend Escapes - We had a fabulous experience from arrival til departure at Raffles Hotel Le Royal.The room is perfect with pool side view. Thank you for the birthday amenities. My kids really enjoyed in the tent and they loved the pool. Thank you for your warmest welcome.

Our Raffles Phnom Penh Experience

We absolutely loved our stay at Raffles Le Royal - it completely lived up to the Raffles name. From the moment we walked in, we were surrounded by that timeless colonial elegance the brand is famous for, and the service made us feel genuinely special. A lovely surprise awaited us - we got upgraded to a pool view room. Spacious, comfortable, and full of that classic Raffles charm. What really stood out was the staff - every single person we met was professional, warm, and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was a real highlight. Unlike typical hotel buffets, here they serve you properly at your table - fresh juices, excellent coffee, and delicious dishes made to order. It felt luxurious without being stuffy. If we had to find one thing to improve, it would be the room doors. They let in more hallway noise than we'd expect from a luxury hotel, and didn't close as smoothly as they could. Better soundproofing would make the rooms perfect. Even with this small issue, Raffles Le Royal is easily one of the best hotels in Phnom Penh. That magical mix of history, service, and attention to detail creates something really special. We'd go back in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone wanting a proper luxury experience in Cambodia's capital.

Not a pleasant stay

Staff and management need further improvement and training. No staff at the entrance and lobby when I arrived. Staff are able to speak in English in the restaurant but unable to provide smaller portion food. Food delivered to the room without cover, personalized welcome gifts are two bottle of drinking water. No staff at the restaurant entrance and serve chipped glass. Butler did not show where is the breakfast, what is the time. Pool staff lied to me about the beautiful hand fan, kept repeating it cost 25USD and only can get it in Siem Reap but then you actually can buy in Phnom Penh. It has a beautiful room, I had a great sleep but the staff made the stay not pleasant.

Raffles in Phnom Penh offers a peaceful retreat with attentive staff, delicious food, and a lovely pool area. Despite an initial room issue due to noise, the hotel provided a quiet suite upgrade and exceptional service.
