Christmas is a particularly magical time of year to visit La Grande Dame of Siem Reap. She is truly a beautiful building set in delightful gardens with a stunning pool. The interior decorations were so festive, I particularly loved the foyer, and especially the old Art Decor lift - a type I'd not seen in Asia before. The artist decor, including an incredible display of fashion in the nut cracker theme was beyond dreamy and I feel blessed to have enjoyed that. The highlight for me were the staff - who provide exceptional service. We celebrated my daughter's birthday with a lovely afternoon tea in the conservatory - the Khmer option provided an exceptional array of local delights - and we discovered a new favourite - num krouk. The traditional afternoon tea was also delightful. The service of Sinak , Nisha and Molika was noteworthy and made our experience really unforgettable. The chefs are clearly of top quality - every mouthful was an exceptional balance and sensory delight - and we will be returning to ensure we can experience the Aspara dinner which is available on a Saturday night. The vibe of La Grand Dame was really spot on for Siem Reap. I'm just surprised I didn't bump into Hercule Poirot. A bientot!

Well, what can I say? I have stayed in this hotel several times over the years. While I have liked it in the past, this latest renovation has made it into a spectacular hotel. Really, it is so beautifully redone with such taste, elegance and style. While there are a number of lovely hotels in Siem Reap, I must say, it would be hard to beat this one.

Staying at the time of an international leaders conference it was very busy. Security was tight with the road outside the hotel closed and a high police presence but the staff could not have been more helpful. When had a problem with our room, Sarmeith Ploak (Chris) the Assistant Front Office Manager was wonderful and despite a full hotel he arranged an alternative room for which were extremely grateful. Housekeeping was unobtrusive but absolutely perfect, our room was immaculate and the bed extremely comfortable. There was a good choice of high quality food at breakfast, the large swimming pool was never very busy so it was quiet and very relaxing. Like other hotels in the Raffles group, it’s in a class of his own, not cheap but well worth the money.

Here we entered a world of charme and elegance at very first sight. The place spreads good vibes as the notes of the welcoming piano. The lotus flowers are all over to focus you are immersed in a timeless beauty. All the staff rewards you genuine attentions, and our family special thanks go to Mrs. Theary for her lovely professional care she smily dedicated us. This is the unique place to stay to create unforgettable memories during a visit to the UNESCO heritage sites.
