A very pleasant stay in Beijing - A well located hotel

The hotel is well located, and easily accessible via the Beijing subway at Dongsi Shitiao station. A gate beside exit C of the station brings you out right beside the front lobby of the hotel. I was given a complimentary upgrade to a larger room on check in, which is appreciated. Reception were also happy to facilitate an early check in. Some of the staff on reception and in the restaurant/bar are proficient in English, and any member of staff I came in contact with was polite and friendly. I was given a warm welcome by the Concierge on duty on arrival, who provided me with some basic information about Beijing including a metro map, as well as a map showing local restaurants. On check out, the Concierge on duty was happy to order a taxi to Daxing Airport for me. There was a mini bar in my room - the prices were reasonable. A nespresso machine and kettle were provided in the room, with pods for the nespresso machine replenished daily. Two complimentary bottles of water per day were also provided. The in room air conditioning was effective. Only minor criticism is that the wifi was a bit slow in my room at times. The buffet breakfast spread was varied and there was plenty of choice. Breakfast is 6.30-10am on weekdays, and even when going downstairs for breakfast at 9.30am, there was still plenty of choice left. Prices for food in the bar were also reasonable. The price paid for my stay was good value and marginally cheaper than other hotels I had considered in the area. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and would gladly stay at this hotel again.

Very clean and quiet. Aside the courtyard there's the gate C of DongSi ShiTiao (东四十条地铁) circular Line 2 of the metro. Personnel very kind and qualified, English spoken. High quality food (international and Chinese cuisine) at the restaurant and there's also a bar that sells bakery products.

Swissotel Hotel Beijing Lovely Hotel. I thank General Manager, Fantastic Manager Hotel Intelligent Manager Strong Administration. Reception was quickly, all trained staff speak English . thank Mr. Tony Tan, Resident Manger, I thanked Mrs. June Zhao . I thanked the Konserg family on his daily service and their large information . a spacious comfortable room I liked the longest in-room (full service, very clean . The restaurant has a lot of food. The reality is a lovely hotel, I have only one note all hotels offering one floor Smoking rooms are because many travelers are now trying to rent a small apartment where the hotel instead can be smoked, the reality is difficult to get off and snow for a cigarette smoking, thank all employees in the hotel. I stayed at the hotel thanked the people of China on their hospitality people.

DIAMOND BAD TREATMENT

I walked in and produced my documents to check in. Usually in other Accor establishments they could see I am a Diamond member and upgraded me. The check in staff name Wang gave me a standard room on the 4/F, When ask why I was not upgraded? His respond was full. I insist to have my room upgrade and he did it to 12/F. He was not aware I am entitle to social hours at the Executive Lounge. I asked him to check with his supervisor and immediately she made good my room key excess to 16/F Executive Lounge. The experience at the lounge was fine but nothing extravagant. When I returned to my room to prepare for tomorrow meeting, I realised my room do not have iron and board. I called housekeepers and they sent one set to me. I approach the front desk to ask does hotel provide iron and board in room. The lady replied only Executive Room. Verdict: they didn’t bother to upgrade DIAMOND member to Executive Floor. When asked what about welcome fruits? It seems i was to be blame as originally give. Standard room now I think Superior room so the fruits may be on the 4-F room. That is a mockery as I hardly given a standard room whenever I stay with other Swissotel or Accor chain hotels. I always get better and better. The fruit platter finally came and thought I appreciate it, it was really very pathetic. I felt not very welcome and have the urge to check out to stay Sofitel or Fairmont. Let see tomorrow breakfast.
