We stayed for 1 night before a cruise. Check in was quick and efficient. We had a 2 bedroom suite on the gold floor. It was very well laid out and also very clean. Nice bathroom amenities are provided. Breakfast in the gold lounge had a big choice. We went for dinner in the ARC restaurant and the food was exceptionally fresh and good. Our waitress was Emilee C. and she is outstanding. She is a great waitress and a truly lovely person. She really enhanced our dinner experience.

Only reason to stay there is location.

Room ok, but crowded, chaotic. Long wait for elevators, controls did not light up when pressed. Getting seated in restaurant bureaucratic and time consuming, like going to the DMV. Unnecessary long lines. Asked for name and room number multiple times, they cater to cruise ship passengers they will never see again. Very poorly managed.

The hotel is located in the Vancouver's waterfront area next to Canada Place. It's kind of a convenient location. The basement connects to an underground mall, with drug store, food court, and direct access to the SkyTrain (but not the line that goes to the airport). However there are a couple of issues related to this location: 1. I didn't know Canada Place is a cruise terminal, and there were up to 3 cruise ships parked there every day during my stay. This meant a) There were lots of noises during the day and b) There was often a traffic congestion in the area. Your ride can easily be stuck in front of the hotel for like 10 minutes. Turns out many people staying here are cruise-goers. 2. For some reason GPS would often direct cars to an underground tunnel which has no access to the hotel. If you are taking a Uber make sure to check with the driver to use the right route, and if you are calling a Uber at the hotel, pray that they know the right route. The hotel was a bit old but still felt nice. My room was satisfying until I noticed one problem. Every night starting from 10PM or so I would hear loud machinery noise coming from outside that wouldn't stop until like 4AM. It was a deep noise that neither my earplug or white noise machine could block away. The lady at the front desk was nice enough to offer me upgrade to another room, but it didn't change anything. My theory is that something at the port is creating this noise, and it really bothered by sleep. The onsite restaurant was nice. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was fine (but I wouldn't pay for it if it's not included in my package). Overall I think this would be a good hotel if it doesn't have the noise issue, but since it's noisy I don't find it a better choice than staying in the downtown.

We stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise and it was perfect. The hotel is super clean and very conveniently located right next to the cruise port. The absolute highlight was their free luggage transfer service — they’ll take your bags directly from your room to the ship (tip the attendant, they deserve it!). It was SO convenient not to drag everything ourselves. Tons of restaurants and cafes nearby, too. Couldn’t have asked for a smoother start to our trip. Would recommend to others and would definitely stay there again!

Fabulous stay in Vancouver. Paid extra for a Gold room and the experience was well worth it. Highly recommended - if we come back to Vancouver will definitely stay here!
