Senior adult friends decide to enjoy Thanksgiving in Santa Monica. We chose the Fairmont for location, historical beauty, and ocean view. All staff friendly & professional. All elevators out Fri afternoon to at least check out Sat. A staff member told us this has been on going for 3 years. Preprinted signs and door mounts supported this. We were on the top floor and climbed up and down with difficulty due to health issues. Response to every inquiry is “ it’ll just be a couple hours.” This is a huge safety risk. A medical emergency especially on the upper floors could be disastrous.

All elevators are currently out of service One has been out over a year They have cut back on maintenance since the plan is to tear it down We are on the 5 th floor and can handle the walk but others are stuck. The staff is great but the owners need a stiff financial penalty for allowing this to happen Do not let the owners po po this since 1 of the elevators has been out since last Thanksgiving Demand an explanation that this wil not happen again or cancel your resert

The valet service was amazing. We felt so welcomed by Chris the manager..Evan, Frank, Ami and Sandra. What a great way to start our visit ! Fig and Soko as well as the Lobby Lounge have amazing food. The fried chicken is out of this world, the sushi is the best we have ever had in the US and sea bass special at Fig was so delicious.

The restaurants at the Santa Monica Fairmont are really great... both Fig and Soko have incredible food. The hotel is amazing with wonderful staff that really care about you. The parking staff really care about us... they are so personable!

Nice hotel.. but the dang club…

Rooms are nice and clean, the service is top notch. However, like other writers the noise from the bar/restaurant is AWFUL! We were here for business trip and after coming from the east coast and dealing with the time change we were exhausted and ready for bed at 10pm. Despite the ear plugs and sound machines and fan the thumping from the club right outside our room was OBNOXIOUS! It’s unfortunate that this is ruining our hotel experience. The hotel should really consider moving this club as those of us who need to rest are unable to until 2am. I would not come back here for this reason as when I am traveling I enjoy getting a good night sleep.
