The room was comfortable, and we felt very well-cared for. The location was perfect for exploring the old city and popping back to our room during the day. The only snag was difficulty in using the online link to order room service breakfast - the ordering site was glitchy and difficult to use.

Beautifully restored historic castle, that's the centerpiece of Quebec City. Surprisingly no issues with a/c or water pressure, that's usually common amongst restored old buildings. Dissapointing to see the rooms have weight sensors in the fridge and table tray, that charge you even if you move the drinks. This kind of tackies belongs in Vegas and not $800/night rooms at a classy historic gem. Tip: if you don't want to pay $50/night valet parking, there is a public underground parking lot at the Quebec City Hall (5-7min walk) for $17.50/day

Everything about this "castle" was amazing! Beautiful room, helpful staff and great location. The bed was very comfortable which was great after a long day of travel. There is an attended desk in the hall as well where they will help you with sightseeing tours of QC. Cheaper option too then booking on-line.

We were booked to stay at Fairmont Le Chateau for three evenings. It was a beautiful hotel full of history. One of my favorite type of places. Upon arriving, however, we got a lot of mixed messages from the staff. They would say one thing and it was the exact opposite. To start, we were to be in a king room that was 250 square feet with a sitting area according to the pictures and description on price line. The lady at the front desk said she was putting us in a large king bedroom with a lovely view. We were put in a 175 square foot room that the bed just fit. The closet door and bathroom doors could not be open at the same time. The bathroom was in a closet. The view was of the kitchen drop off. If I wanted to pay less, I would have gotten this room, but I paid more for the larger room. We were there for only 3 nights, so we let that pass. We would ask for recommendations for restaurants etc. but the walk that was recommended was impossible for me to withstand. I have psoriatic arthritis throughout my body. My hips and knee give me the worse time. I walk with a cane/walking stick to help with balance and pain. I get around slowly. Some of the people working at this hotel treated me kindly but many at the hotel and Quebec City treated me with arrogant disdain. I was an annoyance. When you are handicapped that is the worst way to feel. I tried to ignore this, thinking these people are just abrupt, that’s all, until the second day of our trip. On our second day, we decided to enjoy the river cruise. After purchasing our tickets, we found that it was about 10 flights of stairs down to the boat docks. But do not despair, the staff said, they have a tram for the handicapped that will bring you down. When we arrived at the location, however, it also had a long flight of stairs down to board the tram. They had an elevator, but it had no instructions in English or French for the user to operate. The door would not open. The button didn’t work. My husband went up and down the stairs a few times to try to figure this out, while an attendant sat watching the commotion the entire time. Finally, in a large “Huff” the attendance got off his “rare end” and ran up the stairs to help us. He opened the door and then said to me with pompous arrogance, “This is for people with wheelchairs.” And ran back downstairs again. What!?!?! I am not handicapped enough for this pompous arrogant person to use his elevator!?!? Who are these people! After that final display of hateful arrogant disdain, we were out of there. We could not stand another night being treated this way! We booked a hotel room for a few nights at the Omni Mount Washington hotel in NH and left an evening early. We had to pay for the night we left early, because it was through Priceline. That’s ok, but Handicap people, BEWARE, you are NOT welcome there.

Good service Food was served very fast and was very good Room a bit on the small side but comfortable and well appointed The pool was clean and very nice Great location for exploring old Quebec Recommend it for sure! A bit pricey is the only downside
