This hotel is on a Great location… beautiful views!!! Also once again, Alexandre was amazing and so professional at check in.!!!! All staff were great during the stay, Claude is fantastic and always accommodating!!!! My go to hotel in Ottawa !!!

We pre-paid for our room and spent only $37.12 at the hotel restaurant so imagine our shock to get a final invoice via email with a charge of $218.85!! It took over 3 hours to get a human on the phone to fix the invoice and refund the difference. This once grand hotel's best days are clearly behind it and it is noticeably understaffed (and the young woman gate-keeping Wilfrid's on the night we were there clearly hates her job). The hotel no longer screams "luxury" but the location is appealing.

The location was excellent, and I appreciated the clean restrooms and comfortable bed. However, I found the changing area at the health club to be quite disappointing. It was below basement level, very cramped, and the shower floor had a plastic mat that likely harbored mold underneath. This aspect definitely needs improvement.

Excellent hotel- just don’t valet your car

Our stay was excellent… for the most part. From the front desk to the room quality, The pool, The breakfast, Location….. Until checkout. Requesting our car from valet was ridiculous. We had to sit and wait for an hour in the lobby. This is not what you would expect from a five star hotel.

Too expensive literally a shell of its former glory.

It needs a maintenance budget. Poor value for money. Staff much more concerned about their phones than the customers. The staff should be trained. I am older so they ignored me. Stay at best western plus. Lovely architectural building but internally does not work. Used the pool the change rooms could not have been more sparse. I do not think they have ever been updated.

We sincerely regret the disappointing experience during your stay with us. Rest assured that your experience is certainly not typical of our usual high level of service.
