I attended a wedding on December 6, 2024 and stayed for one night at the Chateau. I was a little shocked at the sticker price of the room and the drinks and found the stay to be just ok. The room was clean and so was the washroom but definitely over priced.

poor quality visit

On arrival checkin - we went to our rooms to hopefully hurry down to the poor to enjoy the swim and sauna and whirlpool and when we got to the two rooms there was only one robe for the two rooms with 4 people. We had to call down to get the other three robes and it literally took a least 30 mins or more to get someone to bring us the missing robes. We actually even went to the front desk to ask if we can just pick it up ourselves but was told no - someone will bring it to you - yes they did but made us very late and very little time left to enjoy the recreation time before our dinner reservations for 7 pm. The food at the dining room has been below par for the last 3-4 years or so. I do not know if it is change of staff or what. But very much not work the price we paid for the quality of the food. This also goes for the breakfast buffet in the morning. Very disappointed. Also being allcor member - when we got to our rooms - the two rooms had only one little chocolate box with two small chocolates to be shared for 4 adults??? Also the drinks as allcor member was one room with two small bottles of apple juice and one room with one small bottle of bottle juice and one small bottle of mineral water

Chateau Montebello August Long 2024

My family of four and a friend & his son joined us to stay at Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello for August long weekend 2024. We selected a (recently renovated) Deluxe Luxury King room. We self parked and there was plenty of space. The resort is clean and the grounds are well kept. Our room was not ready when we arrived so we changed in our friend's room and went straight to the Friday afternoon pool party. There was a DJ, it was fun. Over the course of the weekend, we enjoyed swimming @ the indoor and outdoor pools, playing tennis outdoors and playing mini-putt/golf. The kids liked playing at the outdoor playground. The kids club could use some renovations and we found it was geared towards babies/toddlers. We did not have lunch or dinner at the Fairmont, but we did have breakfast and drinks. Both were good. Unfortunately the A/C in our room did not work. The first solution was a big, loud industrial fan. We tried that and waited for the room to cool down. It did not. The second solution was to change rooms. So, we packed up and changed rooms. That solution worked even though it was a bit inconvenient to move. The staff was friendly communicating in both English and French. The bartenders were excellent, both inside the Chateau and by the pool. Overall, our stay was positive. The kids had a good time.

Wonderful food and wine evening at the annual Harvest Festival. Room and breakfast package made it an enjoysble and affordable overnight outing with friends. Swim in the indoor pool is a special treat at Chateau Montebello not to be missed.

Staff were very friendly and courteous, While i usually hate feather pillows - these were nice.. Food was excellent (2 breakfast, 2 group suppers) Grounds were very pleasant for easy walk / hike. The central fireplace was most impressive !
