Fairmont Kea Lani - Maui 5 yıldız

Kea Lani is the third villa we stayed during our trip around the island. The location was impeccable given the villa was steps away from the ocean. However the service experience could be much improved. 1) The main phone number listed is to an operator, who once stated that "there is no phone at the front desk." Another time stated that she had no idea what a on property Luau event was about when the setup is clearly visible from our backyard as we were trying to book a dinner reservation. We had to walk over to asked the staff setting up, as it turned out to be a corporate event. Prior to arrival, we were transferred to reservations when we tried to upgrade our oceanfront villa from 2br to 3br. Upon hearing the word "upgrade," the reservation agent said, "you are at the oceanfront already, so what do you want?" 2) Post arrival, the pool light was not in operative condition. We had to use flashlights after sunset so kids would not be playing in the dark. Engineering had to "pull lights out inside the pool in the morning," yet we were not offered room switches at that point. 3) A cockroach 1/3 size of the couch cushion (noted on image with no exaggeration) was discovered as we were setting up the sleeper sofa. We were initially informed that "it is normal given the tropical weather." We were then provided the room switch upon request. 4) The new room pool was not cleaned, tree leaves and bird feathers were floating inside the pool. 5) Given above issues, we were offered to "comp the resort fee" at time of check out, which was about 1% of the room rate. Our family was very much looking forward to this stay given the prime location, with corresponding level of expectations given the rate charged. However, it sadly would make it a very difficult to return. We would highly recommend the Ho'Olei villa by Grand Wailea Waldorf Astoria. The location might require an extra 10min walk, however still beautiful ocean view from both level of the villa, with designated pool for the community and very personable SERVICE. Beautiful complementary setups for my children's birthdays. They would personally deliver printouts from the main office to the villa when our villa printer ran out of paper. THAT is SERVICE in the Service industry. Their service makes up for the location.

Let me preface this by saying i never leave reviews, but felt compelled to do so given how amazing our experience here was. My husband and I decided to book here for our honeymoon and firsy time to hawaii. We were obviously a little nervous about coming given everuthing going on in maui, but our so glad we did. The hospitality at this hotel exceeded any of my expectations. The bellmen were awesome, our cleaning lady was so sweet and kind, the guys at the beach were awesome (shout out to donnie). The food at this resort was phenomenal. We ate at both restaurants. We ate at Ko the last night and we would have ate there the first night, i wouldnt have ate anywhere else. The beach was private and secluded and the pools were relaxing and serene. Thank you fairmont kea lani, we miss you already!

Wow, what a fantastic experience staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani. It was a very family friendly hotel, with large updated rooms, tons of space, great food options for kids and the staff were wonderful. From Ron, the concierge who was so helpful and made my daughters day with his daily waves and warm smile to Annette at the pool who was so attentive even when they were short staffed and all the friendly employees at the breakfast restaurant and the market. We were there when the fires broke out and I felt horrible for the employees and what they were going through but they never let it show and still prioritized the guest experience. Really tops off to the staff there, and all they do to make it a memorable trip, including the sweet touch of providing toiletries and a stuffy for my little one. I loved having a baby pool for my littlest one and was still close enough to see my bigger kid. The food was fantastic as we ate at each restaurant and I also appreciated the water stations throughout. The only downside right now is the construction in the lobby. You’ll hear jackhammering as you lounge by pool which wasn’t ideal but also didn’t ruin the experience.

This hotel is perfect for families. All the rooms are large. Rooms are clean. Food/restaurant selection is great Location is amazing. Beach is amazing. Staff are all amazing. It's an amazing place!

Our large family group celebrated our 46th Anniversary here for a week and we had a wonderful time! Two of our rooms were right at the upper family pool - my grandkids thought this was heaven! We snorkeled, outrigged, ate at the restaurants, ate by the pool, fed the fish, and played at the beach. My grandkids' favorite thing was the water slide! Every meal we had was terrific, the front desk/concierge was very helpful, loved the leis and necklaces upon arrival (my grandkids are still wearing theirs!), appreciated free self-parking (they told us we could park in a staff lot closer to our rooms). The rooms were so roomy and beautifully appointed; the bathroom was awesome! Thank you, Kea Lani, for making our family celebration so memorable!
