It was a nice hotel and the manager who checked us in was amazing he hooked us up and gave us a better value for what we spent but overall my stay was a 3/5. very rude hotel security and all the hidden fees are absolutely insane I don't mind paying extra when the prices are up front but the security deposit was way crazy and I got charged an amenity fee for not using any amenities? absolutely insane If I had to do it again I'll just get a AirbnB.

Lovely hotel in a great location with excellent views. Steven (Stephen?) was very helpful, friendly and accommodating at check-in, which I greatly appreciated. We made a bit of a mistake while booking and he saved it from becoming a negative experience. My only real complaint is that many of the amenities require membership or extra fees, and if you don't spring for them, you end up getting less than you would at a less-expensive hotel. I was a little disappointed that there's no complimentary breakfast in particular, but to be fair, that was an oversight on my part and not something they ever claimed they'd provide

The newly renovated Fairmont Gold rooms are really nice. Soundproofing was great and beds very comfortable. Breakfast in the lounge was good quality - smoked salmon, yogurt, fresh fruit, hot options. Can get water/soft drinks all day, self serve honor bar, canapes late afternoon a good way to buy the kids some time before dinner. The staff in the lounge is very helpful. Would stay again!

Hotel could use a refurb (a little bathroom mold, aging bathroom and room), but the location is excellent and staff were friendly and really good overall. Beds were comfortable and our 30th floor room was generally quiet. The park and many of the sites were an easy walk away. The hotel itself is just a little old inside and feels like it’s resting in the Fairmont laurels of years past.

Overall very happy with our stay. However having the coffee cups and wine glasses in holders that looked like we would be charged for using them was a bit intimidating. We ended up finding a nice local for morning coffee and drank our wine from the 2 water glasses that were available. My biggest disappointment was with the quality of toilet paper. We do a lot of camping all over North America. It is sad when we have had better quality TP at provincial and state parks than in this hotel. Not the thing that you really want to cheap out on!
