Our family has visited several times now and we love this hotel! The pool area is amazing and restaurants are good! Our kids love the mascot, Perle. We often visit at Easter and there are special activities for the kids! Highly recommend for a family

First of all I understand that it may be hard to staff as your location is quite remote; Front desk staff 10/10, Valet service 10/10, restaurant staff 5/10. The Hostess in dining room - 0/10, I know when we went for dinner we had not had time to dress for dinner and we had casual clothes on but when she had the gall to ask if we were staying at the hotel before she gave us a table; seemed put out that we wanted a table immediately, since we had just driven 6 hours to get there I think she could use a sentence like "you must be tired from the drive let get you a table" instead we got " you want a table now? do you have a reservation? are you staying in the hotel?" By the way there were only 2 tables busy in the restaurant at the time. The first waiter made it clear that he didn't want to serve us and never came back; the next 2 servers were good. We had a suite room (222) and it was nice, only concern was the shower as the tub was very narrow and hard to turn around in. I understand it is an old hotel and removing these tubs would not be an option. Our convention went well and the staff during this event were excellent.

Wonderful couple’s weekend

Beautiful location. Very serviable and pleasant staff. Well appointed rooms and the grounds and views are spectacular. The only downpoint was parking…it felt like we had parked 3 towns away before we could access the hotel. Great dinner at Le Saint Laurent during the Coffee event

Lovely classic hotel with some dining/bar issues

We spent 2 nights at the hotel over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Positives were the attitude of the staff (especially the concierge who went out of his way to try to help us with a rental car mechanical failure (not surprisingly given the timing he was unsuccessful but he really tried!)) and the fabulous drone show on the Sunday night in the sky with the St Lawrence River as a backdrop. The one thing we found a challenge was the small size of the bar and dining areas (specifically the Bellerive and the lobby bar). I realize this is an issue with historic old hotels and that staffing is likely a challenge for them at this time of year but the wait to get a table for breakfast was very long and it was impossible to find seating for 4 in the lounge on Sunday afternoon (the young woman tending the bar in La Brise did her best but was getting slammed with orders from impatient guests). The overall experience was positive but I thought the issues with access to facilities needed to be noted.

I am mad as hell about this hotel

Here is the situation... I won a $2500 CDA voucher for a stay at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu Hotel, and I am so unhappy. It was a poisoned gift !!! The booking process went smoothly. The amount available on my credit card was limited. So, during a phone conversation when booking, the customer service representative specified that we would be charged for the entire stay on the credit card used, which could be problematic under the circumstances. I discussed this with her, especially since we had a voucher from Loto-Québec that was supposed to pay for our stay, and she finally told me that they would only take $100 per night since our payment was guaranteed. When we arrived, the front desk took the amount we had agreed to and confirmed that that would be all that was taken from the credit card. We originally booked from October 13th to 16th, 2024, and because it was only supposed to take $100 per night, we decided to take a fourth night, thinking that we would have enough money to cover meals and activities. On the 15th, I received a text from my bank saying that my credit card was maxed out and that I had no credit left. The hotel had charged everything we had taken since arrival to my credit card!!! I checked with the hotel front desk who assured me that this was the procedure and that there was absolutely nothing they could do although we had confirmed that the money would be taken from the voucher and not my credit card. I would like to note our disappointment with the hotel itself only, because the staff was nice and, apart from the problem regarding the payment of our stay. They were all always ready to help us. However, the restaurants were way too expensive for the quality of the food offered, and our room was quite ordinary and very small, not to use the word uncomfortable, for the price. On the other hand, the casino part of the site is more than pleasant since we managed to leave with a slight gain on our budget. We checked out on the 16th instead of the 17th for fear of being charged even more. Our stay was very inconvenient for us, even though we had a voucher that was supposed to cover everything. In addition, even after we checked out, they charged the remaining amount on the credit card again, rather than taking the money from the voucher. Despite the inconvenience, I will wait until the full amount is released on my credit card but I think you should have been informed. Because even Visa does not want to release the funds We have stayed in other luxury hotels in America and Europe and never have we suffered this way of operating. So needless to say we will not leave good reviews for the hotel in question. Thank you for letting me express my disappointment and frustration for a situation that was supposed to be a source of pleasure but that left me and my wife with a very bitter taste.
