What makes this hotel so special is the people. Outstanding service should be recognised and we have had many staff members make our trip first class. However special mention for 2 team members. Firstly prior to the trip helping me organise birthday celebrations and then whilst in resort helping us get local info to immerse ourselves in the Barbados culture was Tia on the concierge desk. She is fantastic. Then whilst we’ve been here Rea in the bar and beach area has literally gone more than the extra mile to ensure our stay has been amazing. These two are the top of a great group of staff members. The resort is amazing the views and sunsets every day are stuff you dream of, we are sad to be leaving but keen to come back.

Just returned from our first visit to Barbados and the Fairmont Pavillion and we were completely blown away by the beauty of the island and the standard of the hotel. From the moment we arrived at the airport and were greeted by a member of the Fairmont team, to the hotel organised taxi dropping us off back at the airport after a week stay the service was exceptional. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive but a special mention to the following who we encountered and stood out - Rea who was always smiling, Jason, Renico and Nicole who kept us well hydrated through the day and Ashlee and Renee serving in the restaurants. Oh and Ryan - the star of the water sports centre for showing me the ropes at sailing. The hotel is in a fantastic location - best on the island from what regular visitors were telling us - and they were not wrong. All rooms have with sea views and meters from the golden sand and turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. We stayed in a standard room with balcony which was more than ample for a couple. The circular sofa on the balcony was perfect for watching the sun set in the evening. Yes you could find bits and pieces of internal decor that could have been sharper if you really wanted to, but that is being very picky. The hotel is well looked after and kept exceptionally clean by the staff and the gardens are constantly being looked after by the gardeners We used the gym a few times during our stay and whilst it isn’t the largest it was absolutely fine for an early morning workout on holiday. We ate at both restaurants during our stay and the food and service was great. We had lunch at Taboras almost everyday and the choice was varied and reasonably priced for the quality of food and setting. The breakfast buffet offered a wide and varied hot and cold selection to suit everyone and was generally well stocked, although on the odd occasion it got sparse later in the serving largely due to the quality of the food on offer and people taking full advantage of what was on offer. There is plenty on offer for couples and families of all ages and, although we had the rare chance to visit as a couple on this occasion, we will definitely be returning with our children in the future to spend more time at this fabulous hotel and explore the island more.
