Great for a 1 Night Stay in Ghent

Room was as required and as expected. Was on the small side however we were only in it for one night so didn't require the space on our trip . Bathroom appeared newly refurbished and to modern standard. The shower and toilet facilities were great. This was the perfect hotel for 1 night in Ghent. They also offered parking at €18 per night which served us well. The bathroom walls could do with a wash down however, the shower, toilet and floors etc all appeared in clean condition. We were able to use the self check in machine for both in and out therefore did not have to speak to any staff for our stay. This was great for quickness however loose the friendliness of the visit. Reception desk was always busy.

Cool hotel with very responsive staff. We had to look for a hotel at night because of bedbugs in another hotel and Ibis accepted us right away! Nice and responsive staff, the girl with dreadlocks at the reception is just super, helped to quickly and efficiently settle everything. The administrator in the restaurant is excellent Very attentive and understanding. The rooms are excellent, tomorrow is not very diverse. The hotel is suitable for people with disabilities.

Great place to stay, very close to the center. Normally we are not into chain hotels but this one is quiet charming, it seems its pretty new. You can rent bikes and ride around the river just in front. A safe neighborhood, you can park for free just opposite the street, very helpful staff and fun for kids.

Overall poor quality of service. We were promised and confirmed adjoining rooms but on check in told that we were on different floors. After much waste of time and effort they finally put us in adjusting rooms. Albeit hesitantly. The rooms were clean but bed sheets were too small for the bed (single) and kept slipping off as it couldn’t be tucked in properly. The room included a Nespresso machine but they wanted to charge 1 euro for each capsule. Wouldn’t have minded if we had know about it and brought our own or bought it pre stay as apparently it was out of stock at reception. Won’t stay here again.

Loved the stay.

The word Budget was alarming as I was on a Budget travel. But once I landed in Ibis Gent Budget Centrum, there is nothing budget about it but a beautiful hotel though the room was small but it was cute and clean. Loved every moment of my stay here. There is restaurant attached to Ibis Gent Budget Centrum and they make world class pizzas and the customer service is top notch. There is a portico to eat, drink and opens to the small road. You can relax in this area with food and drinks. There is game area, relaxing area, you can buy chocolates, drinks, everything at one stop. Even the Flix bus stop is near to this hotel near Dampoort. Few negatives but not a big deal: There is not even one restaurant or store near Ibis Gent Budget Centrum. But they themself have a wonderful kithchen and serve food and drinks late night. City center is atleast 1.5 Kms from the hotel. The whole area looks secluded. Overall its a wonderful stay. Not a big deal but thought of mentioning it.
