We had an exceptional stay at Hotel Bóvedas Boutique de Santa Clara, perfectly located in Cartagena’s historic Old Quarter. The hotel is a beautifully executed blend of old and new — contemporary comfort thoughtfully integrated into a building rich with history. Breakfast is served at the adjacent Sofitel, which is set within a lush central courtyard that evokes a delightful old-world charm. It creates a calm, refined atmosphere that feels both luxurious and intimate. Our room was extremely comfortable and well designed, with the added convenience of a mini kitchenette including a microwave and a water filtration system providing drinkable water — a small but very thoughtful touch. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. The service was outstanding, with genuine follow-up to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We would especially like to thank Alejandro and the breakfast service team, who were consistently warm, attentive, and professional. The staff uniforms were graceful and polished, reinforcing the hotel’s sense of elegance and care. Excellent service and a great hotel always make for a memorable holiday experience — and Hotel Bóvedas delivers on both. If only more hotels followed this standard. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Bóvedas de Santa Clara in Cartagena was truly exceptional. The room was excellent—very spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. Every detail felt thoughtful and refined, creating a calm and luxurious atmosphere that made it easy to relax after exploring the city. One highlight was the amazing toiletries from Loto del Sur, which added a special local and upscale touch to the experience. It’s rare to find hotel amenities of such high quality, and they made the stay feel even more indulgent. Breakfast was simply the best we’ve ever had, served at the main Sofitel Santa Clara building. The variety, quality, and presentation were outstanding, with exceptional service to match. Having access to the Sofitel’s facilities as a guest of Bóvedas was a major advantage—we enjoyed the beautiful pool, common areas, and overall ambiance of the historic property. The staff were consistently professional, warm, and attentive. The level of hospitality was remarkable, with genuine care shown in every interaction. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond truly set this hotel apart. Bóvedas de Santa Clara combines privacy and tranquility with access to world-class facilities and service. The experience was very pleasant. The staff ; Adria, Alejandro, Sr. Blanco, Luis, Cristian were the best. Always came to our rescue went we needed Helping us with directions and everything else. We highly recommend this hotel. It’s extremely clean, beautiful and we were lucky to have ocean views from all windows. Looking at the sunset from the balcony was a delightful experience

This hotel is very focused on their guest and everything that they need to make things perfect. I got to the hotel after being up for 48 hours at 10 o’clock and they let me check in by 11 AM..Cristian was so helpful and I was very grateful to him. It’s a wonderful area. This is the third place I’ve been in Cartagena and I love it. Customer service is incredible and room service is great and there’s a beautiful restaurant associated with it and it’s just a great area.. all the staff have incredible!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Stayed with my wife and 5yo, the staff was wonderful, and took great care with our daughter (even made her a home made coloring book with her name on it). Would definitely recommend. The location along the wall was perfect, and it the view of the denser from the balcony was awesome.
