Avoid… especially room 407!

Room vile. Chipped bathroom fittings and walls. More like a hall of residence. Was allocated room 407. Ensure you don’t travel with a cat as you certainly could not swing it in the room! Car parking ok. Pizza in bar pretty average. Would not return or recommend The room was booked for me by a client.

Cold. Over priced. Small. Room heated by small oil radiator. Made complaint. Was offered to relocated. Was advised it was also likely to be cold. Issues referred to an invisible twice. No one available. For £200+ a night hotel. This isnt even what I expect from a 50quid travel lodge.

Better than expected. Room was small but had everything needed. Bathroom was nice with toiletries. Location excellent. Staff very helpful and breakfast was good value for money. Asked for a quiet room and got one tucked away. No view bit also no noise so perfect for our needs.

Room was large had a suite, bed was comfortable, only thing that let the room down was stains on carpet and marks on wall / skirting boards. Bathroom was well appointed, staff were friendly and helpful. Paid for parking in advance which was easy. Location on a whole was excellent. Would stay again.

Very Disappointing

I would expect a four star hotel to at least have tablecloths on the tables and the cutlery set out for dinner but this was more like any cafe with cutlery in a tin can and various styles of tables looking tired and worn. We were never shown a menu. Food was set out on a help yourself table without any service from the staff. Very average dinner with frozen mixed vegs followed by cheesecake that looked and tasted as though it had been out of the fridge all afternoon. The same the following evening with pudding being a small slice of plain cake - no cream, custard or ice cream at all. After much complaining from our group, there was definite improvement with the food the following (our last) evening. My bedroom was dark. Lighting was poor. The website offered a grabrail in the shower, cleaning supplies, a desk. These did not exist. No suitable socket for hair accessories or anywhere to put them. There was no drinks fridge. Some water and tissues would have been a nice gesture. All in all, definitely not the standard I was expecting and I would not recommend this hotel.
