Location..Haydock with busy roads all around hotel. Atmosphere..Pleasant. Rooms.. comfortable but window needs a good clean. Value.. Reasonable.

Don't come to this hotel if you are part of a coach tour. Treated like 2nd class guests. Meals & entertainment take place in a marquee which has an inadequate heating system. Location may suit a mid summer event but most unsuitable for the middle of winter. Food not very warm as has a journey to travel from the main hotel. Breakfast "hot" food was mostly not hot enough, & cold plates provided to serve it on. No fried eggs, no jars of preserves- when I asked where the jams were I was directed to a squeezy bottle. A bit of a lottery to find which flasks held hot water & which coffee or more likely empty! Xmas lunch came with absolutely no choice!!! & this establishment markets itself as 4*. No central heating in room. supplied with a fan heater. Lacked drawer space & odd lighting. If I switched off my bedside lamp all the lights in the room went off. Both reading spotlights were reported by us as not working within an hour of arrival along with the safe that we couldn't access. Came back from our day out 3 days later to find the safe fixed. We were leaving the next morning. The bedside spots were never repaired.

Room was adaquit but lighting to dull where they were,needs a centre light! Cupboard hanging ok but no drawers. Service bit iffy in restuant they took on to many people approx 150 consisted of 2 bus trips all.rushing about like mad things no relaxed atmosphere! .should have had 2 sittings at differant times! The entertainment manager had an issue with his worker and had to come and work himself did a great job, was all good 4 nights 40 /50/60 & 70,s nights were great!! We were served meals in a marquee eith diesel heaters ,not for xmas winter nights, they ran out of deisel so no heating at breakfast was freezing !! Breakfast meal was awfull no hot plates or hot food, coffee tea flasks awfull cold most of the time never had decent coffee in the 4 days we were there! No manager to report to he was not there xmas hols!! The last day they had to make more of an effort as had so many complaints! The staff were all trying hard but NO training young folk!!i dont blame them it was the high up managenent! Glenton changed the hotel we were going to.this was 2nd choice we got! We will not be booking this hotel again.

We arrived on the 12 December 2025 all the hotel staff were excellent but when we got to the room no heat the room was freezing cold I went to reception they said sorry we sort it the next day after I complained again they left a electric heater in room No central heating all weekend. We booked a table in restaurant for dinner ended up in conservatory that was also cold in there and the meal was terrible and to rub salt into the wound they added 10% surcharge to the bill which I refused to pay the sink tap in bathroom was lose the toilet seat had a stop missing on one side . The management need To go and stay at mecure hotels in York ,Telford ,Barnsley , just to name a few to see the excellent quality of their food and hotels to name just a few I have a Accor member for about 25 years and had such a poor stay We never stay in this mecure again.

Checked in and went to my room to find 2 young lads in my room. When challenged they scuttled away. Went to reception to find out what was going on and they said they knew 2 boys were wandering around the hotel. They were not going to take any action. I suggested they call the police as the lads had accessed my room. They didn't seem to know what to do. I'm not aware of the police were ever called. Will definitely never stay here again.
