Good enough for a short stay if you are an international tourists

Good location within 2 minutes walk to Malioboro Street, which is extremely popular with the locals. We stayed at this Novotel because of rave reviews mostly in Google and other sites that Malioboro street is “the place” in Jogja. But don’t expect much if you are an international /western tourist. I will write a separate review on Malioboro Street next. This review is about Novotel. It is a nice hotel. An ideal location to get started in Jogja if you’ve never been here before. We arrived late on our first night, which means we had only 1 full day in this area, which we found is more than enough in this area. I will explain why in my Malioboro Street review. We like everything about this hotel. The staff, the service, the room, the rooftop bar and swimming pool located on level 10. The best is the price. Great value for money for the 2 nights inclusive buffet breakfast, which was 2,555,501 rupiah booked through Accor. But don’t expect much from the buffet breakfast. It was limited in choice. Mostly cater for Indonesian. Good enough for a short stay.

Great locaion and right in the middle of the walking street, Malioboro just only a few steps away. Good breakfast and clean room with professional and well trained staffs especially at the front desk and at the restaurant. An okay buffet dinner but with so many restaurants around the area so we can eat out everyday

On third day our stay in Yogya me n hubby moved to this hotel which is located few hundred meters from our first hotel. Guest Room pretty good, but no view😔, breakfast ok, location ok, wide screen tv ok, internet so so, the sink is a bit clogged. Nothing special for more than 1,3M/night… Not bad.

The rooftop is amazing The room is spacious And the most important thing..the location is walking distance from train station. This is an extra point when you need go to train station in the morning, while the street is one way. I booked through the local agent and lucky me becauae room is still available during this longweekend
