Really good location for exploring Nancy and car park adjacent which seems pretty secure. The main railway station is also adjacent. All the staff were excellent and professional and resolved a minor problem immediately. We had one of the “Privilege” rooms on the 7th floor which in itself was fine and comfortable. What would have been a 5 star review was dropped to 4 due to some areas such as stained carpets and damaged paintwork, something that should not be just left. Breakfast okay but I’ve had better in other Mercure hotels. I’m not sure how long one of the lifts has been out of action but I suspect it’s not something new? Breakfast okay but I’ve had better in other Mercure hotels.

Great location with walking distance to most attractions and restaurants. Car parking on site at a cost - discounted by the hotel (Also shared with public) . We arrived in low season on a Monday so sadly a lot of eating places were shut , but those that did open were good quality . Great Irish bar close by ! The room was spacious, clean and comfy and seemed very new, great nights sleep . A shout out to Adam on reception who gave us good directions and advice on where to go during our short stay.

Positives: Good location in historic city center Parking garage next door Triple room had a proper king size bed and a comfortable single rollaway Room safe Needs improvement Air conditioning completely turned off (not disclosed at time of reservation), room was very warm all night, 2nd floor room too noisy to open windows Bathroom sink completely not draining - maintenance issue should have been addressed before arrival Dangerous tub - slippery with high wall For three guests, only two towels provided Check in host did not understand basic English Hotel overall is fairly worn and tired, and not good value

We had a very comfortable double room, spacious and well equipped, with very effective aircon. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and the public car park was right next to the hotel. A great location for exploring the beautiful city - the stunning main square was just a short walk away.

Small and low room and corridors and extra small bathroom were it is difficult to take a shower since the bath is placed too high. Take into account that Parking isn't free in Nancy. The breakfast is limited, cereals, bread and bacon eggs and only basic fruits and no toaster. The fresh orange juice and the friendliness of the personal makes up for a lot. Make a reservation in the Excelsior across the street.
