Over priced & disappointing

Considering the $300 a night tariff, the Sebel was disappointing. Whilst the architecture is impressive, some things are poor. There are only 2 mugs, 2 glasses & 2 teaspoons in each room. Some cereal plates would be appreciated. The water in the showers was lukewarm & the extracter fan was ineffective. The bathroom was unnecessarily enormous & cold & more space could have been given to the bedroom area. There were no bedside tables, only a chair to put things on. Lighting was poor. The air conditioner was set on 22 degrees but the room was cold. Overall it was over priced for what you got.

Such a relaxing place. The staff are so helpful and accommodating (special thanks to Karen and Rob). The accommodation is great and food is excellent in the restaurant. Being on the lake it is so peaceful and a bonus. Great pool. No loud traffic noises just the sounds of nature. We could not fault the Sebel Yarrawonga. We will be back. In fact I’d love to come back for Easter.

Only 70 minutes to wait for a cold, ‘cooked’ steak was the introduction to the restaurant. It was backed up in the morning, with scrambled eggs on toast, without toast!! For the next 2 days we ate at Burkes Hotel, Yarrawonga. Very sad!!

Stayed with my family over Xmas. We had the most amazing Xmas lunch, the service was excellent. Relaxed by the pool in the afternoon and enjoyed some cocktails. Everything was just awesome. Would highly recommend.

Will not stay here again!

This was our third stay at this hotel on 05/12/2024. In 2020 and 2021, we had a great experience, but this time, the service was terrible. I’m a platinum member, and I had a note when I made the booking asking if the room would be upgraded. When I checked in, I noticed that my room hadn’t been upgraded, and the hotel was unusually quiet. I asked again, and after waiting over half an hour, I was begrudgingly granted the upgrade. However, my room was still dusty, even inside the closet. It was a hot day, and we wanted to go to the pool, but we couldn’t find any pool towels anywhere near the pool. We went to the front desk and were told that the towels would be delivered to our room. We went back to our room and waited for 20 minutes, but no one delivered the towels. In fact, the pool towels never arrived during our stay!
