This place takes forever to get too. 4 airport 2 golf buggy and a speed boat 23 hours later we have arrived.. But the welcome and friendly staff that fresh smell in the air was so worth it... Check in friendly cheeky and fun.. Ride to our over the water villas on point.. that omg when you walk in the 23 hour journey is now forgot... the first look out side as you open the door as the sun is almost set was awesome.. next morning as you awake to the clear blue ocean it will take your breath away a quick call to the front desk and a golf cart is at your door ready to take you for breakfast... food selection was incredible staff so so helpful... a fabulous tour around the island was informative and helped alot ... this resort has everything you would ever want for a holiday. It was a beautiful surprise for my birthday from my hubby and it had been on my bucket list for 28 years. We slept very well we swam off the from our deck with the odd shark, Rays awesome coloured fish and very cute turtles, even going under our villa to look up at our glass floor we float off the sleep looking at with the wonderful sea life below .. Food was superb. Staff so amazing, wines delicious, accommodation on point and the professional photographer was brilliant.. now I want to go back before one of us kicks that bucked. The only thing I'd warn travellers about is getting there and going home, we travelled from Perth WA.. all i can say be very calm and patient its worth the waiting at airports, the people are just so nice..

Exceptional Marine Life & Heartfelt Moments, but Service Speed Lags

My wife and I recently spent 10 nights in overwater villa at the Pullman Maldives for our babymoon. Having stayed at many 5-star resorts in the past, we have a high standard for service. While there were moments of pure magic, they were occasionally dampened by significant service delays. The Highlights • A Special Gender Reveal: The resort organized a baby gender reveal for us, which made us so incredibly happy. It was a beautiful, personalized touch that we will cherish forever. • The Marine Life & Dive Centre: The house reef is spectacular and truly top-tier. The guys at the Dive Centre are really good—they were absolutely amazing during our sunset cruise and made it a daily highlight for us. • The Staff: The team members are amazing. They are friendly, welcoming, and clearly go out of their way to make guests feel celebrated. Special thanks to: • Mika: The most caring person. • Elias: No matter what happened, he never failed to ensure our requests were handled with a prompt response. • Asaad: Special thank you for addressing our issues during the first couple of days. • Failag: Regardless of the situation, he always had a smile. • Nazeer: What a manager! He is always there for you if you need anything. • Nauaz: Always smiling and welcoming. • Ani: It was always a pleasure to see her. • Kaisun: A bartender who makes sure you have the best drink. • Zaidar: Smiling and a pleasure to see. • Sukumar: Top level of 5-star service. Where the Experience Fell Short As this is a 5-star resort, we expected a certain level of efficiency that wasn't always met: • The Buggy Wait: This was our biggest frustration. We often waited 30 minutes to an hour for a buggy. In our experience at other luxury resorts, a 5-minute wait is the standard. This was especially difficult for my pregnant wife. • Slow Service: We frequently waited up to an hour just for a drink. These delays are not 5-star—or even 4-star—quality. • Service at Souq Oven: Some staff at Souq Oven really need to be more proactive in checking if guests require food or assistance. Many times, I had to physically stand up and go to them to ask for food, even though they were standing around and not busy. Conclusion Will I be visiting the resort again? Definitely. The natural beauty, the wonderful staff (especially those mentioned above), and the way they handled our gender reveal make it a special place. However, the service speed and buggy coordination desperately need improvement to truly live up to the 5-star name.

Great resort with two areas for improvement – would still come back

My wife and I stayed at the resort for 13 nights for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful time at the resort. There is there everything you can dream of when thinking about Maldives. However, from our point of view, there are two aspects that definitely need improvement for a 5-star resort. 1 – Communication regarding the all-inclusive offer, especially food There is no food included in the all-inclusive offer between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Yes, snacks are available at Saffron Affair, but the selection is very limited. Yes, food can be ordered at the main pool, but this comes at an additional cost. In the restaurants Phat Chameleon and Souq Oven, the number of dishes included is limited, and depending on how the menu is presented, this information is not clearly communicated. 2 – Check-out Our check-out conditions were communicated at around 6:00 pm for a check-out time of 3:00 am. This is quite unreasonable, as the information was provided so late that it was impossible to plan anything more convenient. In my case, I would have preferred to leave the hotel on the same day the information was communicated and stay at another hotel near the international airport. Despite these points, I would like to emphasize that my wife and I spent a wonderful time at the resort and would be very happy to return. We would especially like to thank the restaurant team at Phat Chameleon. We truly appreciated this restaurant. Special thanks to Naafiu, Nawaz, and another colleague whose name I unfortunately forgot (Waz…).
