Our stay at Kooddoo Resort in the Maldives was an unforgettable experience, especially in the stunning Beach Villa. From the moment we arrived, the seamless hospitality and serene atmosphere made us feel like we had stepped into paradise. The Villa was a spacious, beautifully designed sanctuary nestled in lush greenery with direct beach access. The villa offered the ultimate in privacy, with a serene outdoor deck and a private access to the powdery white sand beach. The beach itself was immaculate, with powdery soft sand and crystal-clear waters that were perfect for swimming or simply lounging. Snorkeling right off the shore allowed us to see vibrant coral and an array of marine life, which was an incredible highlight. The activities offered at Kooddoo were equally impressive. Snorkeling among colorful coral reefs, taking a dolphin cruise, paddle boarding and more, plus indulging in spa treatments all enhanced our stay. Dining at the resort was a delight. The variety and quality of food were outstanding, with fresh and flavorful options to suit every preference. Enjoying breakfast with a view of the ocean was a wonderful way to start each day, and the themed dinners added an element of excitement to the evenings. The staff at Kooddoo truly went above and beyond, always ensuring our needs were met with a smile. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth made our stay even more special. For those seeking a balance of relaxation and adventure, Kooddoo Resort is the perfect choice. Our Beach Villa stay offered the ultimate in comfort and natural beauty, and we’re already dreaming of our return to this slice of paradise.

OK Stay but could be much better

The highlight was the service & dive staff. Booked this resort based on an on-inclusive basis but this appeared to be different upon arrival as many options available were add-ons. The difference in expectations and reality became a huge disappointment. We do appreciate the efforts of Stefania to hear our concerns and provide some compensation The food options were adequate but was a little repetitive. Quality was a little disappointing. The Italian restaurant was good but unfortunately the options were too limited. There are certain times of the day (10-11am, 4-7pm) where no food options were available if a full-board guest missed out the standard times to dine. Our room was good but rather dated. Coffee pods/ vanity amenities and mini bar were not refreshed daily. Our biggest disappointment was the diving limitations. We chose this hotel for the dive centre but even on a good weather day the schedule was limited to 1 60 minute dive and a maximum of 2 per day. Unfortunately due to the location of the island and the reliability of the domestic airline, we lose two days of a six day holiday traveling. For this reason I would look at a resort closer to Male. Alternative transportation could be offered.

The hotel was amazing, food was by far the highlight of the trip and chefs clearly know what they are doing. The staff were all very friendly and went well out of their way to satisfy your needs. We did some diving and safe to say it has been some of the best dives we have done in comparison to other places around the world. The only downfalls we had was the weather was pretty poor at one point (not in anyone’s control) and there wasn’t much to do when it’s raining. The sand bar trip was also somewhat pointless as we walked on a bit of sand and continued on to a snorkel however I would say it’s more of an intro snorkel than anything. Other than that it was an amazing stay and want to thank all the staff for making it so.

Despite confusion from central reservations about accor plus benefits and food discounts being allowed at the resort they were. The hotel was excellent and exceeded my expectations as a Mercure brand. The outstanding feature was the staff, all without exception were super friendly and efficient and went out of there way to help guests. Our bedroom was large and clean, AC worked well and excellent water pressure and ample hot water. Food was good. Many thanks to Ella at reception, our roomboy and all the pool bar staff in particular
