There are never any surprises with these Ibis hotels. They all look the same inside - modular - they're like the hotel equivalent of IKEA. But they're cheap. One positive thing about this particular one is the fact that it's just a stone's throw to everything you need to see and do, yet tucked away in a quiet little neighbourhood. So, we didn't regret staying here, but if we return to Gdansk, we'll go for one of the more colourful options. A few criticisms. Not to make a big song and dance – after all, we chose the Ibis rather than some 5-star establishment, so our expectations weren't lofty – but the managment might like to take note. 1. Silly extra bed in our double room, with a mattress stuffed under it that we kept tripping over. 2. The room was never thoroughly cleaned. That was evident from all the fluff and dust on the dark carpet. 3. At breakfast, on two occasions I helped myself to a 'clean' cup – only to find it had been used already. Yugh! Inexcusable. 4. At breakfast, I served myself to some dates. Shock. One of them had a bird's feather stuck to it. Again yugh! 5. It's great there are some tables on a terrace at one side of the hotel. But you get a view of all the staff taking cigarette breaks. Not an attractive sight. Could there not be a panel/high fence separating public from staff? Date of stay: July 2024

+ A big Plus was the location of the hotel. Only 10 min to the railway station and the trams. The airport bus 210 arrived there as well, Dworzec Glówny. The bus was really late from the airport. I took the train (SKM) to Gdansk Wrzeszez and transfer to the train to the airport. It was more reliable. I could walked to the old town around 15 min. + Silent during night + Air condition worked really well. + Clean room and surfaces. + The guide recommend the Polish restaurant Swojski Smak just outside the hotel. + I like the idea that you can put the sign "not to clean the room" to save the environment a tiny bit or the workforce. - A big Minus for the really hard bed. I needed to put another duvet on my bed for more comfort. I could only do that because my friend couldn't make the trip as original planed. - Breakfast was ok. I had notified them in beforehand about my lactose intolerance and gluten intolerance but they didn't had any lactose free yoghurt and only glutenfree white bread. No sweets or so. They put disclaimer "gluten" on every signs. - I agree with earlier review that I prefer a small towel for the hands and just not two big towels. - Expensive due the Ed Sheeran's concert in town and not really worth the price. - The notice of not open the window due to mosquitos. I didn't but I found one anyway! So the four stars are for the great location and it was okay hotel.

Really good location, clean, OK room etc. We didn't have breakfast. The only thing was although they advertised them kitchen closing at 9pm this wasn't true. We approached them at 20:50 (ten to 9) to be told it had just closed. Ten mins early - and the next day we approached at 20:30 - and told the kitchen closes at 20:30 despite the sign saying 9pm. It was disappointing especially as restaurants close early in Gdansk so shame the Ibis didn't live up to expectations here. Apart from this all ok.

Хорошо, вкусный завтрак. Удобное расположение. Не удобно, что взяв номер на 2 дня, после 1-го дня в 12ч карточка перестала работать. И приходилось 2 раза обращаться по этому поводу к администрации.

great hotel with friendly staff, big comfortable rooms , nice breakfast and just a 5 min walk into the old town , this should be a 3 to 4 star rated hotel, don't let the 2 star put you off, check out is a nice 12 o'clock , so no rushing, very quiet at night and during the day.
