You rightly note the uniqueness of our lobby and bar — spaces that reflect the artistic vision of Christian Lacroix, who reimagined this former 17th-century convent with bold and theatrical flair. That spirit continues throughout the hotel, including the rooms, which embrace contrasting moods and styles — sometimes surprising, often unconventional, but always intentional. We understand that such a strong design identity may not appeal to all tastes, especially for guests seeking more traditional luxury aesthetics. As for the room and bathroom amenities, please rest assured that we meet the requirements of a 5-star classification, with regular quality checks. That said, your remarks regarding the hot water and furnishing will be reviewed with our technical and housekeeping teams for follow-up. We are genuinely sorry to read that your interaction with our front desk team was not warm or helpful. This is far from our usual standards of service, and we will speak directly with the team member you mentioned to ensure such impressions are not repeated. Our staff is typically praised for their attentiveness and care, so this feedback will be taken seriously. Regarding location: the hotel is, in fact, located at the entrance of Arles’ old town — a peaceful position just a few steps from the Roman arena and other UNESCO World Heritage sites. We apologize if this was not clear prior to your arrival. Concerning the pricing and cancellation policy, these conditions are always communicated at the time of booking, especially when a non-refundable rate is selected. Similarly, services like breakfast or porterage are optional and clearly detailed on our website and partner platforms. Still, we understand that unexpected charges can feel frustrating at the end of a disappointing stay. However, we would like to clarify that the taxi rates are not set by our hotel. The 20€ fare you mentioned is a fixed price determined by the taxi company for this particular journey. We understand this may have been surprising, especially if you were expecting a different fare.
