A comfortable hotel located only a minute’s walk to the train station. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and my room was clean and modern. There were a few negatives: my evening meal (fish and chips) was a little bland, the breakfast offering wasn’t particularly interesting and the juices on offer (when the machine worked) were extremely thick and undrinkable, there wasn’t really an area to sit and relax and there was often a queue waiting for the lift. Overall, an extremely well located station but not one of Ibis’ better offerings or cheapest!

Excellent location for the historic sites, restaurants and railway station. Clean, simple rooms, (good aircon!) and a decent breakfast equates to great value for money; plus the staff are friendly, helpful and polite. A very enjoyable stay

Good central location (especially as I arrived and left by train) just a short 150m walk from the railway station and only 10 mins walk from the historic centre. Check-in was swift and efficient and I was soon in my room which was fortunately air-conditioned (it was 31C outside) . The bed was comfortably soft and all expected facilities were available - maybe not the biggest room but for 1 it was ideal. Perhaps a bit of routine maintenance would not go amiss and the chair was not the most comfortable but I would happily have it again A bar, which doubles as a restaurant, is available adjacent to reception offering a limited but good range of drinks, snacks and basic meals. Breakfast, served in the same location, was a fairly good buffet with the usual range of choices (ham, cheese, fruit, croissants, jam etc.). As usual in this chain self-service coffee and water was feely available at all times. IBIS Styles is a pretty reliable chain which maintains consistent standards but at this one the staff really stood out and set it apart - special mentions to the restaurant staff and the young lady on reception/bar in the afternoons - I did not get your names but you set the hotel apart.

Nimes is lovely, don't spoil your visit by staying here! Mouldy, filthy & not maintained. Worse than IBIS budget!

This was our 3rd Ibis stay in France, and despite good experiences in other countries, Ibis France clearly has a lack of focus on cleaning and maintenance. This room had the worst mould of any hotel we've ever stayed in. Peeling paint, missing tiles, broken door handle so we couldn't close the toilet or shower, and the light in the bathroom wasn't working. Photos of the mould don't even do it justice, due to the light not working in the bathroom! Maybe that's why! Aside from the mould (which is bad enough), the room was filthy. Hairs over the walls, all the walls had spills on them. How hard is it to at least wipe the walls down? I understand needing quick cleans between guests but surely you have scheduled deep cleans? Worst stay yet. Nimes is lovely! Don't spoil your visit by staying here!

The hotel breakfast experience has notably improved. Nicer setting, refreshed dining area, including the plates. I got room 4003, which was nice and modern. The only thing the hotel could do is improve the cleaning of the rooms. The bathroom smelled and it was not properly clean. I was here for one night so I didn’t press the issue, but would be great if management put some effort into this aspect of the hotel. Otherwise, very comfy room, hotel is close to everything and very quiet.
